Colombia Retail Sales YoY

Retail sales in Colombia surged by 10.1% year-on-year in June 2025, extending a 13.2% rise in May and marking the 13th consecutive month of increases, yet coming below market estimates of a 11.7% growth. Sales increased across all categories, notably telecommunications equipment for personal or domestic use (57.0% vs 56.5%), vehicles mainly for household use (20.9% vs 29.8%), home appliances and furniture (24.2% vs 23.3%), and books, stationery, newspapers, magazines, and school supplies (9.4% vs 13.7%). On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, retail sales rose by 0.3% in June after a 0.8% increase in the prior month.
