The annual inflation rate in Ethiopia moderated for the third month to reach 13.6% in August 2025, the lowest since March, compared to July's 13.7%. While food prices accelerated to 12.7% year-on-year from 12.1% in July, non-food price growth slowed to 15.1% from 16.1%. On a monthly basis, the CPI rose by 1.1% in August, after a 1.3% increase in the prior month.
