Total US consumer credit increase by $16.01 billion in July 2025, up from a revised $9.61 billion rise in the previous month and well above market expectations of a $10.1 billion gain. Revolving credit grew at an annual rate of 9.7%, while nonrevolving credit advanced at a 1.8% pace. Overall, consumer credit expanded at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 3.8% in July.
