With both Ethereum and Bitcoin doing very little during the trading session on Tuesday, it’s not much of a surprise that the alt coins that we follow here at FX Empire were also a bit stagnant. That being said, there are plenty of areas to pay attention to.

Bitcoin Gold was very choppy during trading on Tuesday, as we continue to see the $50 level offer support. This is a strong sign, even though I don’t think we are going to explode to the upside. Beyond that, I think if we can break above the $56 level it would be a significantly bullish sign as well. We need Bitcoin to rally to build up the necessary momentum for Bitcoin Gold to show signs of life. Until then, expect range bound and choppy trading.

DASH/USD

The DASH market was a bit more positive during most of the session, but I think that the market participants will continue to respect the overall consolidation with $350 being the support level, while the $400 level is resistance. If we can break out of this area, I think that we would go to the $420 level on the upside, or perhaps the $325 level on the down. Expect a lot of choppy and back and forth trading, and if you have the ability to trade short-term charts, you may want to employ some type of range bound system as we have such a well-defined area.

XMR/USD

Monero initially fell during the trading session on Tuesday but found enough support at the $190 level to turn around and bounce towards the $200 level, an area that has been significant resistance. I believe that if we can break above the $205 level, then the market would be free to go to the $215 level, and perhaps even beyond there. A breakdown below the $185 level could have this market looking for $175 after that.
