During the trading session on Tuesday, alt coins continued to show a bit of softness, although it was a relatively quiet session. Remember, alt coins will struggle if Bitcoin and Ethereum do the same. However, if the major coins rally, that should help these markets as well.

Bitcoin Gold drifted a bit lower during trading on Tuesday, breaking below the $40 level. There is certain amount of negativity in the overall crypto currency markets to begin with, so I think that Bitcoin Gold is going to continue to be relatively negative overall. Rallies at this point are still to be sold, but we are coming to the bottom of the overall consolidation, with the $39 level offering a bit of support.

DASH/USD

The DASH market has gone back and forth during the day on Tuesday, in rather tight trading. The market looks to be focused on the $300 level, with the outer range being the $320 level on the upside, and the $280 level underneath being the lower part of the range. I think that at this point, it’s probably best to stay out of this market at this level, because there are a lot of twists and turns ahead, and as we are in the middle of the range, it makes sense that there is essentially a 50-50 chance as to where we go next. I would be willing to trade back and forth between the highs and lows of the range, but until we get towards one of those areas, there’s not much to do.

XMR/USD

Monero went back and forth in tight trading as well, hovering around the $165 level. The market should continue to be very tight, but I think that the best thing to do is wait for a bounce that you can start selling on signs of exhaustion as that continues to be the best trade.
