FTSE 100 weekly chart, April 24, 2017

The FTSE 100 fell rather significantly during the week, but we don’t see on the weekly chart is that the Thursday and Friday sessions were relatively stable at the 7100 level, an area that had been massively resistive in the past. Ultimately, the announcement of the British snap election caused quite a bit of a shakeup in this index, but I do believe that given enough time the buyers will return. I am simply waiting for a supportive candle or a bounce to go long and believe that there should be significant support at the 7000 handle as well.
