The FTSE 100 initially did during the trading session on Thursday but has found buyers near the 7200 level to turn things around and break above the 7250 level as I record this video, a very bullish sign.

FTSE 100 daily chart, February 16, 2018

The FTSE 100 has dipped initially during the trading session on Thursday but has rallied from the 7200 level to rally above the 7250 level after that. It’s very bullish, and I believe that the market should continue to go much higher, perhaps reaching towards even higher regions such as the 7300 level in the short term, and then eventually towards the 7400 level. I believe that the market should continue to be bullish, and eventually go towards the massive 7500 level above.

Volatility will of course continue to be an issue, but if you are careful and add to your position slowly, you could do quite nicely in this market. The FTSE 100 has struggled a bit, testing the 7000 level recently. That is an area for me that signals the “floor” of the uptrend, and I recognize that the market could continue to go much higher as the reasons for the uptrend remain. I believe that the FTSE 100 will not only break above the 7500 level, and then perhaps even go higher, perhaps even as high as 8000 over the next several months. I believe that the FTSE will lead the way going higher, especially if the British pound were to struggle after the negotiations between the UK and the EU.

If we were to break down below the 7000 handle, then I think that the market would break down significantly, perhaps reaching towards the 6500-level next. Stock markets are a bit tedious now, but I do think that we are starting to see confidence building action.
