Equities Remain Nervous with Whipsaw Results

Traders should be ready for another wild ride. Futures indicate Wall Street will open with losses after yesterday’s bounce higher.

The Nikkei turned in fractional gains. Halifax HPI results from the U.K were negative this morning.

European Equities Positive Early, Home Price Index Sinks in U.K

European equities have seen buyers step into the marketplace. After three days of strong declines, the Dax and Footsie have produced positive early trends which is a result of the turnaround in U.S equities yesterday. The Halifax Home Price Index from the U.K came in negative this morning, and the Pound has lost some value against the U.S Dollar and is near 1.3950. The Bank of England will issue its Monetary Policy Summary tomorrow but is expected to remain quite cautious. German Industrial Production data proved to be lackluster today, but French Trade Balance statistics did improve per their publication.

Another Wild Day Expected for Wall Street, Traders Face Coming Test

Another wild day of trading is expected on Wall Street. Futures indicate that the three major Indexes will open with losses. Investors did produce solid gains yesterday in the States, but it has not been an easy ride for traders who will continue to have their fortitude tested in the coming hours. U.S data will be light, but there will be a Consumer Credit report issued later. The U.S Dollar has been steady early.

Whipsaw Traded Expected for Gold, Tight Range This Morning

Gold has traded in a tight range early and is near 1329.00 U.S Dollars an ounce. Important support is the 1321.00 U.S Dollars juncture. The precious metal has been able to consistently reverse upwards after experiencing downturns the past couple of months, which means traders could see whipsaw price movements near term.

U.S Crude Oil Supply Data on Calendar, Bank of England Tomorrow

Crude Oil Inventories data will be published in the U.S at 15:30 GMT and commodities traders will look at the numbers.

  • 20:00 PM GMT U.S, Consumer Credit
