High Level White House Meeting Helps Markets, Asian Shares Mostly Lower

The Dow Jones Industrial turned in solid gains on Tuesday and Wall Street produced a winning session. 

Meeting at White House Spurs Confidence, Import Prices Data Today

A top-level meeting in the White House yesterday, including President Trump and leaders of the Republicans and Democrats helped fortify investor sentiment. The three major Indexes produced winning sessions. The Dow Jones Industrials will start the day slightly below the 25,400 level. And Import Prices data will come from the U.S today. Yesterday’s Housing Starts figures from Canada proved disappointing.

Inflation Data Hits Targets in China, Nikkei Index Sees Slight Selling

Inflation data from China essentially met its targets this morning. Equities on the Shanghai Shenzhen and Hang Seng composites have posted moderate climbs, while the Nikkei Index has seen slight selling. The Yen has added value against the U.S Dollar this morning and is hovering above the 112.00 juncture.

Investors Clamoring for Brexit Clarity, European Equities Advance

European equities gained on Tuesday as the Euro and Pound lost value against the U.S Dollar. Today important manufacturing numbers will come from Britain, but Brexit wrangling continues to remain the talking point for investors who seek clarity. French Industrial Production data has already been released this morning, and yesterday’s German industrial results were solid. Tomorrow’s ECB Monetary Policy Meeting Accounts could prove interesting.

Selling Steam Picks Up in Gold, Gold has Proven Capable of Rebounding

Gold has seen selling pick up steam and it is near 1310.00 U.S Dollars an ounce. While the precious metal remains within it higher values, speculators may look for downside momentum to escalate. However, Gold has proven capable of rebounding higher the past couple of weeks.

U.K Manufacturing Data Today, Crude Oil Supply Numbers from States

Manufacturing Production data from the U.K will be a talking point upon its release at 9:30 GMT.
