The Australian ACY Securities is a high-performance workhorse, offering lightning-fast execution and a massive lineup of trading products. It’s a perfect match for casual desktop traders and algo-runners, though mobile users might miss an intuitive proprietary app.
ACY spans 15 years in the game and top-tier ASIC regulation. It has developed its own ACY Securities Platform, which stands out with its advanced charting capabilities and clean design. For traders who prefer more familiar setups, the broker incorporates MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5.
While many brokers limit their offering to the most popular assets, ACY provides a far more extensive catalog. I counted over 2,300 instruments, with a strong emphasis on share CFDs.
On pricing, they generally sit right in the industry middle ground. While not the cheapest option for every pair, their EUR/USD spreads were tight during my test, and zero deposit or inactivity fees make them a budget-friendly choice for traders at all levels.

When reviewing a broker, we assess whether it suits different trading strategies and trader profiles. To achieve this, we evaluate the availability of the necessary features and tools. Here’s our verdict about ACY Securities:
ACY Securities is a solid option for casual traders, thanks to its low minimum deposit starting at $50 and generally fair pricing. The broker also offers access to a wide range of instruments, multiple trading platforms, and a strong mix of market research and educational resources.
I noted the focus on trade ideas built around Smart Money Concepts (SMC), which are regularly published on the website and reinforced through live and recorded analyst webinars. In practice, this research tends to resonate with newer traders who often gravitate toward Gold, major indices, and FX majors, supported by clear market structure analysis and ongoing commentary.
ACY Securities’ MT4 and MT5 platforms support automated trading via Expert Advisors (EAs). The two platforms also feature built-in strategy testers and support MetaTrader Scripts, which include a variety of advanced indicators and tools for managing open trades. Lastly, ACY offers free Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting for low-latency trading.
Copy trading is offered through TradingCup – ACY Securities’ proprietary copy trading solution available on MT4 and MT5. The platform connects signal providers and signal followers, allowing traders to participate in strategies executed by more experienced market participants.
Day traders can choose between the feature-rich MT4 and MT5, and the intuitive ACY Trading Platform with advanced charting. They can also benefit from low-to-average spreads across instruments from most asset classes and insightful market reviews.
I counted over 50 indices and ETFs that longer-term traders, including swing traders, usually prefer. I also discovered that ACY’s swaps on the EURUSD and GBPJPY pairs meet the industry average.
ACY Securities reports average order processing speeds of around 30ms, which is notably faster than the industry average of approximately 60ms. In practice, this level of execution is supported by access to deep liquidity, particularly across high-volume products such as gold, major FX pairs, and leading indices, where tight pricing and efficient fills are critical for short-term trading strategies.
While the proprietary ACY Trading Platform is suitable for discretionary trading, scalpers will likely prefer MT4 or MT5, which provide additional execution tools such as Depth-of-Market (DoM) functionality.
ACY Securities’ research offering is broad and diverse, with a strong focus on Smart Money Concepts and gold trading. Plus, the market analysis is available in Chinese, Arabic, Spanish, and Portuguese. However, I noticed the absence of third-party content from resources like Trading Central or Autochartist. Adding tools like these would offer a different perspective, making the overall analysis more nuanced and informative.
ACY Securities does not provide real stocks for value investing and portfolio building.
ACY Securities distinguishes itself with ultra-fast order processing speeds, averaging around 30ms, which is well below the industry average of approximately 60ms. In addition to MT4 and MT5, the broker offers its proprietary ACY Trading Platform, supported by robust daily market research and a comprehensive free webinar program available in English, Chinese, Arabic, and Spanish.
I opened a Basic account with ACY Securities Pty Ltd and tested the ACY Trading Platform for web trading and the mobile app version of MetaTrader 5. Some features and services may vary depending on your location.

I found that ACY Securities operates three entities: two are regulated by ASIC (Australia) and FSCA (South Africa), while the third is unregulated. The broker keeps client funds segregated and ensures negative balance protection. Its legal docs are readily available and transparent. I also confirmed that ACY Securities maintains Professional Indemnity Insurance, adding an extra layer of protection for clients.
| Entity Features | ACY Securities Pty Ltd | ACY Securities SA Pty Ltd | ACY Capital LLC |
| Country/Region | Australia/Sydney | South Africa/Johannesburg | St Vincent and the Grenadines/Kingstown |
| Regulator | ASIC | FSCA | Not Regulated |

When reviewing brokers, we examine the licenses held by each of their entities to assess how effectively they protect clients. We use a simple three-tier system to rank regulatory bodies, with Tier-1 being the most trusted and offering the highest level of protection.
This is what I discovered about the three entities operating under the ACY Securities trade name:
Brokers operate multiple entities globally, but regulatory protections vary. Some regulators enforce stricter financial standards than others, so traders should understand the safety measures of the entity with which they choose to open an account.
Here is how ACY Securities Pty Ltd protects you:
✅ Segregated Accounts – Client funds are kept separate from the company’s own capital.
✅ Negative Balance Protection – Your losses cannot exceed your invested capital.
✅Compensation Scheme – In the unlikely event of insolvency, you will be compensated by up to AUD 2.5 million under ACY Securities’ Professional Indemnity Insurance.
To learn more about the most important safety mechanisms and how they apply to you, check our dedicated guide on client protections.
In our Trust category, we assess how stable and transparent a broker is. This includes how long they’ve been in business, the size of the company, and how openly they share important information.
ACY Securities isn’t a newcomer. I checked the broker’s track record and found it has been operating for over 15 years, supported by a global team of more than 150 professionals. The company also maintains a dedicated R&D technology team based in Taiwan, responsible for developing and maintaining proprietary products like the ACY Trading Platform, in-house copy trading solution, and the client portal.
I appreciated that ACY Securities publishes live raw spreads from its ProZero account directly on the homepage, allowing visitors to see real-time pricing before signing up. By clicking on any of the instruments listed, I was taken to a dedicated instrument page with access to live charting and sentiment analysis.
I also read through ACY Securities’ legal documents, including its customer agreement and risk notices, and everything was in order and presented in clear, easy-to-understand language.
I concluded that ACY Securities is reliably safe to trade with due to the following factors:
My tests placed ACY Securities right in the industry middle ground, though they offered notably tight spreads on EUR/USD and share CFDs. While overnight swaps were standard, the broker charges zero fees for deposits or withdrawals, and, unlike many competitors, you are not penalized with an inactivity fee if you take a break from trading.
I tested ACY Securities’ spreads on 11 December 2025 during the London and New York opens. The results are shown in the table below:
| Instrument | Live Spread AM | Live Spread PM | Industry Average |
| EURUSD | 0.7 pips | 0.7 pips | 1.08 pips |
| GBPJPY | 3.5 pips | 3.1 pips | 2.44 pips |
| Gold (XAUUSD) | 35 pips | 25 pips | 23 pips |
| Crude Oil | 0.04 pips | 0.04 pips | 0.03 pips |
| Apple | NA | 0.02 points | 0.33 points |
| Tesla | NA | 0.21 points | 0.50 points |
| Dow Jones 30 | 2.14 basis points | 3.14 basis points | 3.3 basis points |
| Germany 40 | 2.1 basis points | 1.5 basis points | 2.4 basis points |
| Bitcoin | $41.56 | $51.74 | $34 |
I recorded the most competitive spreads on the EURUSD pair and Apple and Tesla (note that a commission is also charged on share CFDs). The broker’s commodities and indices spreads meet the industry average, while the GBPJPY and BTCUSD spreads exceeded the benchmark during my test.
A swap fee is the cost of keeping a trade open overnight, and it’s tied to the difference in interest rates between the two currencies in a pair. If you’re holding a buy (long) position, you may either pay or earn interest depending on the rates—this is called a swap long. The same applies to a sell (short) position, where the overnight charge or credit is called a swap short.
The values listed below are for one full base currency contract (100,000 units).
| Instrument | Swap Long | Swap Short |
| EURUSD | Charge of $7.93 | Credit of $2.13 |
| GBPJPY | Credit of $7.5 | Charge of $32.21 |
| Gold (XAUUSD) | Charge of $55.29 | Credit of $20.54 |
I assessed that ACY Securities’ swaps on the EURUSD, GBPJPY, and XAUUSD pairs were aligned with the industry benchmark. This makes the broker a suitable choice for overnight trading.
However, swap fees change over time, affecting their competitiveness.
ACY Securities’ Basic and Standard accounts offer commission-free trading across most instruments, with the exception of share CFDs. Trading US stock CFDs incurs a commission of $0.02 per contract, which aligns with industry norms.
For traders opting for the ProZero account, pricing is based on raw spreads with a commission of $3 per lot per side.
| Exchange | Commissions | Margin | Currency | Share CFDs Available |
| ASX | 0.08% | 20% | AUD | 290+ |
| NYSE | $0.02 per share | 20% | USD | 820+ |
| NASDAQ | $0.02 per share | 20% | USD | 450+ |
| ARC | $0.02 per share | 20% | USD | 110+ |
ACY Securities does not charge any non-trading fees. You can take a break from trading without getting hit with an inactivity penalty, and moving your money in or out is completely free on their end. Just be aware that your bank or payment provider might still tack on their own processing costs.
My tests revealed that ACY Securities’s fees are fairly competitive. Its spreads and swap fees are mostly aligned with the industry average, plus the broker does not charge any non-trading fees, adding to its cost-effectiveness.
ACY Securities offers its own web-based trading platform, which I found easy to use and equipped with solid charting tools. The broker also supports MT4 and MT5 for traders who prefer more traditional setups. ACY also gives access to a suite of 12 custom MetaTrader scripts. Free VPS hosting is also available for low-latency trading. The only feature missing is a proprietary mobile trading app, which many modern brokers now provide.
| Platform/Tool | Suitable For |
| ACY Trading Platform (Web) | Advanced charting with Dynamic Leverage and Guaranteed Stop Losses |
| MetaTrader 4 (Web, desktop, mobile) | Easy order execution, basic technical analysis, automated trading, and trading on the go |
| MetaTrader 5 (Web, desktop, mobile) | Easy order execution, basic technical analysis, automated trading, and trading on the go |
| MetaTrader Scripts | Advanced technical analysis, enhanced open orders management |
| VPS Hosting | Low-latency trading |
It is designed for speed and simplicity. I found the ACY Trading platform easy to navigate, so even first-time traders can quickly get their bearings. While it doesn’t offer the overwhelming feature density of some competitor platforms, it compensates with a streamlined interface that feels fast and efficient. The platform runs smoothly on all major browsers and supports English, Arabic, Chinese, and Vietnamese.
More than just a good look. Beyond its clean design, the ACY Trading Platform includes several practical trading features. Depending on jurisdiction, eligible traders can access dynamic leverage of up to 1:5000, while guaranteed stop losses are available to help manage downside risk. The platform also integrates a built-in economic calendar and a sentiment widget, allowing traders to monitor upcoming events and market positioning without relying on external tools.
The charting capabilities are surprisingly deep. Despite its simple look, the platform is packed with analytical power. I counted 21 built-in technical indicators and 26 drawing tools, including Fibonacci retracements and Elliott Waves.
I particularly liked the 10 available timeframes, one of the larger offerings I’ve seen, which makes multi-timeframe analysis a breeze. The charts feel fluid and illustrate price action in great detail, making it easy for technical traders to scale in and out of positions.
It handles the essentials well. The ACY platform supports one-click trading and allows you to manage orders directly from the chart, a must-have for fast-paced day trading. It also includes an integrated economic calendar, so you don’t have to tab out to check news. It covers all the core order types – Market, Limit, and Stop – providing the necessary tools for most manual strategies to protect positions and manage risk.
It lacks advanced automation. If you rely on expert advisors (EAs) or copy trading, you are out of luck here. You’ll need to stick to ACY’s MetaTrader 4 or 5 offerings for those features.
Scalpers might feel limited. The lowest timeframe available is 1 minute. This means that scalpers looking for tick-by-tick precision or Depth-of-Market (DoM) data will find the platform lacking.
Multitasking is restricted. I noticed that you can’t detach charts to separate windows, which is a minor annoyance for traders who prefer running multi-monitor setups.
I found the ACY Trading Platform clean, fast, and easy to master, with excellent charting tools for technical analysis. However, it lacks the automation and advanced depth-of-market features found in MetaTrader.
Since ACY doesn’t offer its own trading app, I tested the MetaTrader 5 app, which is available on iOS and Android. It’s a reliable, no-frills tool that is perfect for managing positions on the go, though it lacks the slick interface of modern competitors.
I also noticed that ACY publishes several educational blog posts dedicated to the MT5 mobile platform. Traders can learn about underused features like partially closing positions directly from the mobile app.
It gets the job done. While the MT5 app lacks the polish of proprietary apps from other brokers, it provides quick and easy access to the market on the go. You can use it for opening, closing, and tweaking positions while away from the desk.
Control is at your fingertips. The app allows you to place market, limit, and stop orders with ease. I found it essential for adjusting exposure during bursts of market volatility. If you need to hit the brakes or take profit while you’re out for coffee, the MT5 app handles the task without complaint.
It feels clunky. The MetaTrader app is powerful, but it isn’t pretty. Analyzing price action on a small screen can be challenging compared to smoother, more modern alternatives, and in my view, it functions primarily as an execution tool rather than a platform for in-depth technical analysis.
That said, I’ve observed that some traders overcome the small-screen limitation by connecting their mobile device to a smart TV or external display, executing trades on the phone while viewing charts on a larger screen.
ACY Securities offers free VPS hosting for low-latency forex trading, which is particularly useful for traders running Expert Advisors (EAs) on MT4 or MT5.
In practice, most EA traders tend to use the Standard or ProZero account types when deploying automated strategies, including martingale EAs and other algorithmic systems that rely on stable execution.
I also noted that ACY staff regularly carry out internal EA testing, enabling account managers to discuss the pros and cons of different EA styles, the operational nuances of running automated strategies, and even the fundamentals of creating and coding custom EAs. Live account holders also receive access to 12 proprietary MetaTrader scripts developed in-house.
ACY Securities processes client orders either internally or via external liquidity providers. In some cases, the broker may take the opposite side of a client’s trade, consistent with its execution model and risk management practices.
ACY Securities excels when it comes to variety. I counted over 2,380 assets on the menu, spanning currency pairs, commodities, indices, crypto, and ETFs. You also have the flexibility to trade these in the spot market or as futures contracts. But the real highlight here is the share CFDs. The volume of stocks surpasses the industry benchmark and makes up the vast majority of the offering.
| Markets | Number | Types | Contract Types | Industry Average |
| Forex Pairs | 65 | Major, Minor, and Exotic | Spot | 30 – 75 |
| Commodities | 20 | Metals and Energies | Spot, Futures | 5 – 10 |
| Shares | 2,200+ | Retail, Tech, Financial, Other | CFD | 100 – 500 |
| Indices | 17 | US, EU, Asia, Other | Cash, Futures | 10 – 20 |
| Cryptocurrencies | 20 | Major and Minor | CFD | 10 – 20 |
| ETFs | 40 | Financial, Mining, Other | CFD | 5 – 10 |
While the stock list is impressive, the selection for other markets, such as forex, commodities, and crypto, aligns closely with the industry average.
CFDs (Contracts for Difference) let you trade on the price movements of assets, like gold, without actually owning them.
For example, if you go long on gold and the price rises, you profit; if it falls, you lose, without ever buying real gold.
The biggest perk is that you can jump in or out of the market quickly to take advantage of even the smallest price changes.
| Currency Pairs | Commodities |
| EURUSD | GBPJPY | EURCHF | AUDCAD | CADJPY | GBPNZD | Gold | Crude Oil | Brent Oil | Copper | Silver | Nickel | Natural Gas |
| Shares CFDs | Indices |
| Apple | Tesla | Google | Microsoft | META | Boeing | Alibaba | Goldman Sachs | Dow Jones 30 | Germany 40 | Nasdaq 100 | Japan 225 | S&P 500 |
| Cryptocurrencies | ETFs |
| Bitcoin | Chainlink | Ethereum | Litecoin | Stellar | Dogecoin | Cardano | ProShares UltraPro QQQ | iShares MSCII ACWI ETF | iShares 3-7 Years Treasury Bond ETF |
ACY Securities mixes lower-risk instruments like ETFs with high-growth assets such as stocks and crypto, creating a catalog that feels broad and diverse. I particularly liked that metals (such as gold and silver) are paired with multiple base currencies, giving commodity traders a way to diversify exposure beyond just the US Dollar.
Recently, ACY expanded its gold suite with region-relevant contracts denominated in grams and taels that are margined in local currencies like CNH, USD, and HKD. This makes trading gold more intuitive and accessible for a wider range of global traders. That said, there’s still room to grow the product lineup by adding some agricultural commodities.
ACY Securities delivers reliable customer support, available throughout the week during business hours. Traders can reach out to the broker via live chat, email, or over the phone. From my experience, the agents were quick to respond and generally knowledgeable.

When we test a broker’s customer support, we evaluate the agent’s knowledge of the broker’s offering, the time it takes them to respond to questions, and the level of detail in their answers.
I contacted ACY Securities’ customer support several times in November. My inquiries ranged from general questions about ACY’s support availability to several specific ones, such as copy trading fees and available account types.
The agents responded swiftly on all occasions and appeared generally knowledgeable. However, I was not offered additional information regarding ACY’s Professional Indemnity Insurance because the agent was not informed about it, as it seemed.

Clients of ACY Securities can choose from three available account types: Basic and Standard, with zero commissions and floating spreads, and ProZero, which features raw spreads and a $6 round-turn commission. The minimum deposit is $50, and account creation took me less than 10 minutes. Islamic accounts for swap-free trading are also available.
To create an account with ACY Securities, I did the following:
| Account Type | Basic | Standard | ProZero |
| Spread From | 0.7 pips | 0.7 pips | 0.0 pips |
| Commission* | $0 | $0 | $6 |

The Basic and Standard accounts keep things simple with zero commissions on forex and floating spreads. We found these pricing models to be a great match for casual trading, offering low-to-average spreads and low deposit requirements compared to the broader market. It’s an easy, low-commitment way to get started. One drawback is that a $0.02 commission is applied to share CFD trading.
If you can meet the slightly higher $200 minimum deposit, the ProZero account offers significantly better conditions. You pay a $6 round-turn commission per lot, which is right in line with the industry standard, but you gain access to raw spreads. As a bonus, ProZero holders get a free VPS subscription, a huge plus for anyone running automated strategies.
ACY Securities offers a demo account that lets traders explore the broker’s available platforms and test their strategies in a risk-free environment. Since markets are constantly changing, it’s crucial to keep your skills sharp without risking real money. You can open a demo account before or alongside your live CFD account.
ACY Securities provides Islamic accounts for swap-free trading. For additional information, please contact ACY Securities’ customer support.
Leverage determines a trader’s overall market exposure. When trading Contracts for Difference (CFDs), positions can be opened for a fraction of their value because of leverage. Essentially, the broker lends the trader money, allowing them to open larger positions. Leverage multiplies the profits a trader generates from winning positions, but also the losses incurred from failed trades.
In the table below, I have listed the maximum retail leverage available with ACY Securities Pty Ltd for instruments from different asset classes:
| Asset | Maximum Leverage |
| Currency Pairs | 1:30 |
| Metals | 1:30 |
| Energies | 1:10 |
| Share CFDs | 1:5 |
| Indices | 1:20 |
| Cryptocurrencies | 1:5 |
| ETFs | 1:5 |
Global entities of ACY offer higher leverage of up to 1:500. Note which entity you use when opening the account.
ACY Securities does not accept clients who are residents of Iran, North Korea, Libya, New Zealand, the USA, Russia, Belarus, Somalia, or any other restricted country or jurisdiction where trading is prohibited by law.
ACY Securities impressed me with a broad, diverse lineup of market research. The hub is packed with video breakdowns, daily market reviews, and dedicated trading signals. We found the content multifaceted, offering both big-picture market overviews and narrow, specific technical analysis. While the quality is good, I’d like to see some content from third-party resources (like Trading Central or Autochartist) that provide an extra layer of nuance.
The economic calendar is a fundamental research tool that informs traders of upcoming economic releases and financial news that have the potential to move the market and create viable trading opportunities.
ACY runs several live webinars each week, but what stood out to me was the practical, market-driven focus. Sessions regularly cover Smart Money Concepts, fundamental analysis, and live market reviews across actively traded instruments, including gold, the Nasdaq, Silver, major indices, and key forex pairs. Traders can ask questions in real time and request on-the-spot analysis of specific markets or breaking news events directly from the analyst. These sessions are genuinely interactive, with participants encouraged to engage and explore real-time price action as it unfolds.
The webinars are offered in multiple languages, including English, Arabic, Chinese, and Spanish, and can be accessed for free via the ACY website or the client portal. In addition to regular live sessions, the broker also runs periodic masterclasses and strategy-focused webinars that break down complete entry and exit rules, allowing traders to backtest and study different trading approaches in more depth.
I also liked the Trade Ideas videos in the client portal. These aren’t just random signals; experts break down specific price patterns and support levels, explaining the why behind the move: the emergence of a particular price pattern, what motivates it (e.g., a specific economic development), key support and resistance levels, and more.
For a broader market context, ACY Securities publishes daily market analysis that goes beyond surface-level commentary. These articles are available in multiple languages, including English, Arabic, Chinese, and Spanish, and are designed for traders looking for actionable trade ideas rather than general market opinion.
I found that the analysis consistently outlines both intraday and swing trading scenarios, clearly marking key technical levels while explaining the underlying fundamental narrative driving price action.
Each piece focuses on how major economic data, central bank developments, and macro events are influencing the market, with technical execution framed around tools such as Smart Money Concepts, Fibonacci retracements, and trend identification.
This combination makes the content particularly useful for active traders who want to align fundamental catalysts with precise technical timing, whether trading short-term opportunities or more structured swing setups.
The ACY’s research requires some navigation. While the content is high-quality, much of it, like the Trade Ideas and webinars, is housed in the client portal rather than being fully integrated into the trading platform window. You will likely need to keep a separate browser tab open to make the most of it.
ACY Securities offers a solid library of videos, articles, and e-books tailored for beginners as well as traders looking to level up their skills. Beyond general education, I found a wide range of in-depth educational blogs focused specifically on how to trade Gold using Smart Money Concepts, along with full trading strategy breakdowns such as the Quick Start Trading Strategy. Overall, the material goes beyond pattern recognition, offering practical guidance designed to support consistent decision-making and risk management.
I was most impressed by ACY Securities’ extensive collection of video content. I counted over 800 educational videos and past webinars on the broker’s YouTube channel. If you are struggling with the software, I found 54 dedicated tutorials covering everything from MetaTrader to the ACY platform. It’s rare to see a catalog this exhaustive.
The broker has also published numerous educational articles on its website, with free access to both registered clients and casual visitors. I found the articles particularly valuable because they go beyond charts to cover the mindset, tackling topics like “Mental Energy Management” and “Self-Discipline.” Most brokers skip this aspect of trading entirely, but ACY dives right in.
The educational section also includes dedicated sections on technical and fundamental analysis, trading mindset, position sizing, and stop-loss strategies, helping traders build a more structured and disciplined approach.
To round out the education offering, ACY provides three eBooks. One that stood out to me focuses specifically on news trading and goes beyond general concepts, outlining four distinct methods used by ACY analysts to trade major economic releases. It also details the key data sources analysts monitor before and after news events, along with practical dos and don’ts for trading high-impact Forex economic news.
Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Australia, ACY Securities is making waves in the financial derivatives trading industry with its fast execution speeds, broad tradable instruments offering, and variety of trading platforms.
I learned that ACY Securities is achieving average order execution speeds of around 30 milliseconds, which is significantly faster than the industry average of 60 milliseconds. Its clients can also engage with over 2,380 tradable instruments across multiple markets from one of ACY’s three platforms: MT4, MT5, and its proprietary ACY Trading Platform.
The broker’s fees are reasonable, although its cross-FX and crypto spreads could be lower. Another minor drawback is the lack of a proprietary mobile app. On the plus side, ACY provides comprehensive supporting content in the form of penetrating market research and illuminating educational content.
I concluded that ACY Securities is a great fit for casual traders and day traders.
