    Our Take on DB Investing

DB Investing is a Dubai-based broker that has been operating since 2018 and is regulated in the UAE, Canada, and the Seychelles. It stands out with its extensive lineup of over 2,600 CFDs, 170+ real stocks, and a rare selection of MENA shares, which few brokers offer.

On the tools side, DB Investing runs on MetaTrader 5, offers a FIX API for low-latency trading, and has even built its own social and copy trading app, which connects a large community of over 370,000 traders. Its research package is also strong, blending in-house insights with AI-driven signals from Acuity and analysis from Perplexity Finance.

The trade-off comes with costs. Spreads are higher than the industry average, and while there are no commissions, the broker’s $25 inactivity fee after 60 days feels steep. Education is another weak point—DB Investing mostly sticks to platform guides and beginner-level material, lacking the depth that rivals offer.

Overall, I’d say DB Investing is an excellent fit for scalpers, hedgers, and high-frequency traders. Compared to the industry, it excels in its asset variety and trading technology, but lags behind in pricing and in-depth learning resources.

Does DB Investing Fit Your Trading Style?

When reviewing a broker, we assess whether it suits different trading strategies and trader profiles. To achieve this, we evaluate the availability of the necessary features and tools. Here’s our verdict about DB Investing:

MT5 caters to scalpers with its impressive selection of 21 timeframes, one-click and DoM trading capabilities, and floating stop orders. For high-volume and high-frequency trading, DB Investing provides FIX API solutions.

DB Investing offers a sophisticated news screener, an intuitive economic calendar, featured trading signals, and comprehensive market analyses. The broker could enhance its research offering by incorporating video content.

MT5’s Expert Advisors (EAs) feature allows for automated trading. The platform also features a built-in strategy tester, enabling algorithmic traders to fine-tune the parameters of their strategies. To top it all off, DB Investing provides FIX API solutions for high-frequency traders seeking optimal execution.

The broker supports social and copy trading via its DB Social Trading App. It boasts impressive numbers, including over 300,000 trade copiers and more than 70,000 signal providers. DB Investing also provides PAMM accounts for managed trading.

Swing traders with DB Investing can engage with over 700 low-risk securities, such as ETFs and bonds, as well as hundreds of assets from other markets. Thus, they can easily hedge their market exposure and trade on inherently different setups. The one disadvantage, however, is that DB Investing does not display its daily swaps, which are applied for overnight trading.

DB Investing has integrated the renowned MetaTrader 5 platform, which is suitable for day trading. The broker also provides robust market research, including AI-powered signals by Acuity. However, DB Investing’s elevated spreads offset this.

DB Investing requires only a $50 initial deposit, making it an affordable option. Casual traders can also benefit from the broker’s high-quality market research. However, the broker charges high spreads on the STP account.

DB Investing offers 170+ real stocks of US and MENA companies. The selection is sufficient for basic investing and portfolio building, particularly for investors in the MENA region.

    What Sets DB Investing Apart?

DB Investing’s standout feature is its diverse offering of tradable instruments. In particular, the broker provides more than 700 low-risk securities (ETFs and bonds) and 620+ MENA share CFDs, making it one of the best options for stock traders in the region.

I opened an STP account with DB Investing Limited and performed my tests on the desktop and mobile versions of the MetaTrader 5 platform. Some features and services may vary depending on where you reside.

    Trust

    4.1
How Did We Test the Broker's Trustworthiness?
Assessing a broker's trustworthiness with your funds is vital. To help you make the right decision, we carefully checked each broker's regulatory license and examined how well they protect traders. Moreover, we looked at the broker's stability by studying their business history, corporate structure, and industry experience. Finally, we thoroughly reviewed all of the broker's legal documentation, including terms, conditions, and fees, and evaluated their transparency based on our analysis. Our hands-on approach ensures that even novice traders have the knowledge they need to make smart decisions.
    trust chart

DB Investing operates three entities regulated globally. The broker guarantees segregation of client funds and negative balance protection. It has also issued insurance coverage and a best execution policy. DB Investing’s legal documents are mostly transparent, though the broker does not display daily swaps on MT5.

Entity Features  DB Invest Limited DB Pay Ltd DBInvest Financial Services LLC
    Country/Region Seychelles/Mahe Canada/Vancouver UAE/Dubai
    Regulator FSA FINTRAC SCA
    Tier 3 1 2
    Segregated Funds Yes Yes Yes
Negative Balance Protection Yes No Yes
Compensation Scheme Up to $20,000 under private insurance No No
    Maximum Leverage 1:1000 1:50 1:1000

    DB Investing Regulators

When reviewing brokers, we examine the licenses held by each of their entities to determine how effectively they protect clients. We use a simple three-tier system to rank regulatory bodies, with Tier 1 being the most trusted and offering the highest level of protection.

This is what I discovered about the three entities operating under the DB Investing trade name:

    • DB Invest Limited is licensed and regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) of the Seychelles under license number SD053. We rate the FSA as a Tier-3 regulator.
    • DB Pay Ltd is licensed and regulated by the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) under license number M22286159. We rate FINTRAC as a Tier-1 regulator.
    • DBInvest Financial Services LLC is licensed and regulated by the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) of the UAE under license number 20200000197. We rate the SCA as a Tier-2 regulator.

How Does DB Investing Protect You?

Brokers operate multiple entities globally, but regulatory protections vary. Some regulators enforce stricter financial standards than others, so traders should understand the safety measures of the entity with which they choose to open an account.

Here is how DB Investing protects you:

    • Holds client funds in segregated accounts.
    • Guarantees negative balance protection.
    • Operates on a best execution policy.
    • Provides insurance coverage.

    Stability and Transparency

In our Trust category, we assess how stable and transparent a broker is. This includes how long they’ve been in business, the size of the company, and how openly they share important information.

According to DB Investing’s LinkedIn page, the broker has been around for 7 years and now employs over 100 people worldwide—a good sign of stability and a solid business model.

One thing that really stood out to me was the broker’s detailed risk notice for EU clients. Most brokers just put up a short disclaimer saying they don’t accept clients from specific regions, but DB Investing actually breaks down the differences between EU rules and those under FSA regulation. That level of transparency is rare and definitely a plus.

I also liked the way DB Investing categorizes new clients during account setup. It ensures traders get the services that best match their needs. On top of that, the broker has a “best execution policy,” which means it’s legally bound to give you the best possible price quotes under current market conditions.

The only major downside I found is that DB Investing doesn’t display daily swap rates on MT5. For swing traders, that’s a big gap since it makes it harder to know the exact cost of holding positions overnight.

    Is DB Investing Safe?

DB Investing can be considered safe overall, though with some caveats:

    🟢 Licensed by three regulators.

🟢 Keeps client funds separate from company funds to reduce credit risk.

🟢 Ensures clients can’t lose more than their deposits.

🟢 Provides private indemnity insurance of up to $20,000 per client in case of insolvency.

🟢 Legally bound to provide optimal price quotes under current market conditions.

🟢 Clear legal documents and a detailed risk notice (especially for EU clients) show a strong commitment to openness.

🔴 Does not display daily swap rates on MT5, which makes it harder for swing traders to calculate overnight costs.

    Fees

    2.3
How Did We Test the Broker's Fees and Commissions?
Broker commissions and fees can be challenging to understand. To simplify this for you, we carefully examined all the broker's fee-related documentation and presented it in a clear, easy-to-understand format. Furthermore, we conducted hands-on tests on spreads and commissions for the most common instruments during both London and New York trading sessions. We then compared these real-time test results to the market benchmark we've established through our extensive experience evaluating the industry.
    fees chart

My testing revealed that DB Investing’s STP account spreads were higher than the industry average across most instruments, except for BTCUSD, which was in line with the benchmark. On the plus side, the broker doesn’t charge commissions or fees on deposits and withdrawals. However, it does apply a $25 inactivity fee after 60 days of no trading, which is relatively high compared to industry standards.

    DB Investing Trading Fees

    DB Investing Spreads

I tested DB Investing’s spreads on 8 September 2025 during the London and New York opens. The results are shown in the table below:

Instrument Live Spread AM Live Spread PM Industry Average
    EURUSD 1.5 pips 1.6 pips 1.08 pips
    GBPJPY 3.6 pips 3.5 pips 2.44 pips
Gold (XAUUSD) 39 pips 39 pips 23 pips
Crude Oil 0.07 pips 0.07 pips 0.03 pips
    Apple NA $2.82 0.33 points
    Tesla NA $2.9 0.50 points
Dow Jones 30 9.0 basis points 9.0 basis points 3.3 basis points
Germany 40 6.6 basis points 6.5 basis points 2.4 basis points
    Bitcoin $30.69 $30.69 $34

DB Investing charges average spreads on Bitcoin, while spreads across currency pairs, commodities, share CFDs, and indices were elevated during my test. Its crude oil spread is especially high.

    DB Investing Swaps

A swap fee is a trader’s cost for holding an open position overnight because of changing interest rates. Swap long refers to the charge deductible or credit receivable for holding a buy position open overnight. In turn, swap short relates to the charges/credits deductible or receivable for holding a selling position open overnight.

DB Investing does not display data on daily swaps, so I was unable to measure its overnight charges. However, the website’s ‘Contract Specs’ page states that the broker charges a “3% per year” swap long and swap short. This means that swing traders with DB Investing cannot receive credit for holding positions overnight due to changing interest rates.

    DB Investing Non-Trading Fees

DB Investing doesn’t charge any fees for deposits or withdrawals, though your bank or payment provider might add their own charges.

On the other hand, the broker does charge an inactivity fee: $25 if your account remains idle for 60 days. That’s on the high side for such a short period, and it’s charged monthly until you start trading again or your balance drops to zero.

    Are DB Investing’s Fees Competitive?

I found DB Investing’s fees to be on the higher side compared to the industry average. Spreads exceeded the benchmark in my tests, and swap information wasn’t always clear. On the positive side, the broker doesn’t charge for deposits or withdrawals, though the inactivity fee is relatively steep and kicks in after 60 days without trading.

    Platforms and Tools

    4.5
How Did We Test the Broker's Trading Platforms?
We understand that platforms play a crucial role in your trading experience. That's why we spent many hours testing the broker's web, desktop, and mobile trading platforms to gain a real understanding of their usability, functionality, and overall performance. From experimenting with different order types to testing execution speeds, charting, and other features, we thoroughly examined every aspect of these platforms based on our trading expertise, helping you make an informed choice.
    platforms chart

DB Investing offers MetaTrader 5 for desktop, web, and mobile trading. It supports different trading styles, but its charts are cumbersome. The broker has also developed the DB Social App for social and copy trading and the DB Investing app for basic account management. For low-latency trading, it provides FIX API solutions.

    Platform/Tool Suitable For
MetaTrader 5 (Web, desktop, mobile) Easy order execution, basic technical analysis, automated trading, trading on the go
DB Investing App Account management, deposits and withdrawals
DB Social App Social and Copy trading
FIX API Low-latency trading, high-volume trading

    MetaTrader 5 Desktop

I tested the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) desktop platform and found it relatively easy to navigate. The main dashboard is intuitive, with charts, order types, and trading instruments located in familiar places. Even first-time users can grasp the basics with minimal effort.

However, the platform design feels a bit outdated. Compared to more modern trading platforms, MT5’s chart visuals are rugged and lack the sleek, polished look that many traders today prefer.

    Availability & Features

The MT5 platform by DB Investing is available for Windows and Mac users and supports 52 languages, including English, Spanish, German, Arabic, and Chinese — making it accessible to traders around the globe.

    MT5 features include:

    • Price Alerts: Set alerts when an instrument hits a specific price — ideal for spotting trade entry opportunities.
    • Customizable Watchlists: Keep tabs on your favorite instruments with ease.
    • One-Click Trading: Enter trades instantly at market price — perfect for scalpers or fast-paced traders.
    • Chart Trading: Place and manage orders directly from the chart, including entry points, volume, stop-loss, and take-profit levels.

In my opinion, MT5 excels particularly in automated trading. It supports Expert Advisors (EAs) and comes with an easy-to-use strategy tester, enabling algorithmic traders to fine-tune their systems for various market conditions.

    Charting & Analysis Tools

MT5 is loaded with analytical tools, including:

    • 38 built-in technical indicators: From trend-following to oscillators and volume-based tools.
    • 24 drawing tools: Including Fibonacci retracements, Elliott Waves, and more for technical pattern spotting.
    • 21 timeframes: Great for multi-timeframe analysis — one of the largest offerings in the industry.
    • 3 chart types: Line, bar, and candlestick options let traders view price action in their preferred format.

That said, the charts can get visually cluttered quite fast — even when only two indicators are active. This can make it harder to interpret price action clearly and may not be ideal for traders who rely heavily on clean, minimalistic chart setups.

    Order Types

Placing an order on MetaTrader 5

MT5 offers three execution modes and covers all the core order types needed by most traders:

    • Market Orders: Instant execution at the best available price — ideal for quick entries
    • Limit Orders: Target a specific price level for entry, though execution isn’t guaranteed.
    • Stop Orders: Protect open positions with predefined risk levels. Stop-loss orders automatically convert into market orders once triggered.

    MT5 Desktop: My Key Takeaways

MetaTrader 5 is a solid platform for fast and straightforward trading, particularly if you’re into algorithmic strategies or use EAs. It’s reliable, packed with tools, and supports detailed trade execution.

However, its interface feels dated compared to more modern alternatives like TradingView or cTrader. If you’re a trader who values sleek design and customizable charting, MT5 might feel a bit too rigid and visually overwhelming.

    MT5 App

The MT5 mobile app is available on iOS and Android, enabling quick and easy access to the market on the go. It is very useful for opening, terminating, and adjusting open positions.

You can also use the app to place market, limit, and stop orders, as well as to adjust the exposure of your open trades.

    MT5 App: My Key Takeaways

The MetaTrader app stands out for its convenience, making it an essential tool for adjusting trades, especially during periods of heightened volatility. However, it is cumbersome and not the best choice for analyzing price action.

    DB Investing Execution Model

DB Investing operates on a hybrid STP/ECN model without a dealing desk. Client orders are either routed to the broker’s pool of liquidity providers, where they are filled at the best possible price, or they are matched electronically using communications networks. This means that buying orders are matched with selling orders, and vice versa.

    Tradable Instruments

    5
How Did We Test the Broker's Tradable Instruments?
For this section, we examined the broker's market offering, assessing the variety and depth of instruments and asset classes available for trading. Through our proprietary database, we then compared the results with other brokers. This comprehensive analysis allows you to determine if the broker offers the specific instruments and trading options you're looking for.
    tradable_instruments chart

DB Investing stands out in the tradable instruments category, offering over 2,600 CFDs and futures contracts, along with more than 170 real stocks. The lineup covers currency pairs, commodities, share CFDs, indices, cryptocurrencies, ETFs, and bonds. The ETF and bond selection is especially impressive, coming in larger than what many competitors provide.

Markets  Number Types  Contract Types Industry Average
Forex Pairs 44 Major, Minor, and Exotic Spot 30 – 75
Commodities  19 Metals, Energies, and Softs Spot, Cash, Futures 5 – 10

ETFs 670+ Retail, Tech, Financial, Other CFD 5 – 10
Bonds 30+ EU, UK, US, Other Futures 5 – 10

Compared to the industry average, DB Investing offers a stronger selection across nearly all asset classes. Its range of forex pairs is in line with the benchmark.

    What Are CFDs?

CFDs (Contracts for Difference) let you trade on the price movements of assets—like gold—without actually owning them.

For example, if you go long on gold and the price rises, you profit; if it falls, you lose—without ever buying real gold.

The biggest perk? You can jump in or out of the market quickly to take advantage of even the smallest price changes.

DB Investing Instruments: My Key Takeaways

I appreciated DB Investing’s selection of tradable instruments for its scope and diversity. The broker strikes a fine balance between low-risk securities like ETFs and bonds, and high-yield/risk assets, such as indices and cryptocurrencies. Additionally, DB Investing has a massive and rare offering of MENA stocks.

    Customer Support

How Did We Test the Broker's Customer Support?
Traders often underestimate the importance of customer support, yet it proves to be a critical aspect during times of crisis. We put the broker's customer support to the test ourselves using all possible channels, such as chat, phone, and others. Our evaluation focused on the accessibility of live agents, as well as the helpfulness and professionalism of their responses. This way, we provide you with comprehensive insights into whether a broker can deliver full support when you need it most.

When we test a broker’s customer support, we evaluate the agent’s knowledge of their own website, how long it takes them to respond to questions, and how detailed their answers are.

I tested DB Investing’s support over a couple of days, asking a mix of simple and more complex questions. For general stuff—like the broker’s location and regulators—the agents answered quickly and clearly.

They were also polite and helpful when walking me through the account opening process. But when I asked more detailed questions, like about margin call levels, stop-outs, and the execution model, the agent struggled and ended up referring me to my account manager instead.

DB Investing offers multiple payment methods, including bank wire, local bank transfer, credit/debit cards, e-wallets, crypto wallets, and more. The broker does not charge deposits or withdrawals, though third-party fees may apply. Processing times are within the norm.

In addition, we carried out an in-depth analysis of the account types and features offered by the broker, including spreads, maximum leverage, minimum deposits, and more. For a comprehensive comparison, we turned to our proprietary database and examined how this broker's account offerings and processes stacked up against other brokers.

    *Round-turn per one full contract

DB Investing’s STP account comes with a straightforward setup: zero commissions, floating spreads from 1.0 pips, and a low $50 minimum deposit. This makes it a budget-friendly option for casual traders.

For high-volume traders, the PRO and RAW accounts are better suited and can even be paired with DB Investing’s FIX API for faster, low-latency trading. The RAW account is more affordable, but its $8 round-turn commission per lot (100,000 units) is higher than the industry average of $6. The PRO account, on the other hand, offers the most competitive trading conditions, though its $5,000 minimum deposit puts it out of reach for many.

The broker also provides two swap-free options: ISLAMIC and ISLAMIC+. The standard ISLAMIC account is spread-based with a $50 minimum deposit, while ISLAMIC+ features raw spreads but requires a much steeper $5,000 deposit.

    Demo Accounts

DB Investing offers a demo account that lets traders explore the broker’s available platforms and test their strategies in a risk-free environment. Since markets are constantly changing, it’s crucial to keep your skills sharp without risking real money. You can open a demo account before or alongside your live CFD account.

    Swap-Free (Islamic) Accounts

DB Investing provides two swap-free options: ISLAMIC and ISLAMIC+. The standard ISLAMIC account is spread-based with a $50 minimum deposit, while ISLAMIC+ features raw spreads but requires a much steeper $5,000 deposit.

    What is CFD Leverage?

Leverage determines a trader’s overall market exposure. When trading Contracts for Difference (CFDs), positions can be opened for a fraction of their value because of leverage. Essentially, the broker lends the trader money so that they can open bigger positions. Leverage multiplies the profits a trader generates from winning positions, but also the losses incurred from failed trades.

How Did We Test the Broker's Research Tools?
Research options offered by brokers may not be seen as the most important feature for some traders, but they can provide a competitive advantage. To assess the broker's research offerings, we personally explored and tested both proprietary and third-party tools and content, such as Fundamental and Technical Analysis, Market News, educational videos, and webinars. After evaluating the availability and quality of the overall research offering, we compared the results with our benchmark to provide a comprehensive analysis of the broker's research capabilities.
    research chart

DB Investing delivers solid market research with tools like an easy-to-use economic calendar, a regularly updated news screener, in-depth market breakdowns, and featured trading ideas. Some of the content is developed in-house, while other insights come from AI-driven providers such as Acuity and Perplexity Finance.

    Research Tools

    • Economic Calendar: The economic calendar informs traders of upcoming market events and economic releases that have the potential to stir a market reaction and therefore create viable trading opportunities.
    • Market News: The website’s market news segment represents an intuitive news screener. It filters the latest market news from major media outlets and delivers quick and highly informative breakdowns of current market developments to DB Investing’s clients.
    • Signal Centre: The package is integrated from the data-driven Acuity service, which generates AI-powered trading signals. Traders are given entry, stop, and target levels, as well as a confidence barometer.
    • Perplexity Finance: Perplexity Finance provides traders with a broad overview of market sentiment and highlights the top gainers and losers. It also lets you customize watchlists and dig deeper with thorough fundamental analysis, making it a handy tool for spotting key market drivers.

DB Investing Research: My Key Takeaways

I found DB Investing’s research both practical and fairly sophisticated. It works well for day traders who want to spot unfolding setups, as well as for those who prefer a broader market perspective. I especially liked the mix of in-house insights and third-party tools. The only drawback is the lack of video-based research content.

    Education

    3.4
How Did We Test the Broker's Education Offering?
Gaining knowledge about trading in the financial markets can make the difference between success and failure. To assess the broker's educational offerings, we personally tested and evaluated the quality of the content provided, considering its relevance for both novice and experienced traders. We explored the range of materials available, such as articles, videos, webinars, and courses. After evaluating the content's volume, update frequency, and overall quality, we compared the results with our benchmark to provide a well-rounded analysis of the broker's education offerings.
    education chart

DB Investing conducts periodic educational webinars and has published several e-books and video platform tutorials in multiple languages. However, the content only scratches the surface of the ABCs of trading and lacks depth.

DB Investing offers 14 platform tutorials in English, Arabic, Hindi, and Bengali that walk traders through the different features of MetaTrader 5. I also found nine written guides covering topics like how to set up FIX API or the basics of forex trading.

That said, the broker falls short of offering real educational depth. There are no detailed articles or videos on the essentials of technical or fundamental analysis, trading psychology, or risk management—topics that many traders would expect from a solid education package.

    The Bottom Line

After testing DB Investing hands-on, I’d say it’s a reliable and versatile broker that really shines when it comes to its huge product lineup (especially MENA stocks and ETFs) and advanced trading tools like FIX API and social trading. Its research offering is also a big plus, with a smart mix of in-house analysis and AI-driven insights.

That said, traders need to weigh the higher-than-average spreads and the steep inactivity fee against the benefits. Education is also on the lighter side compared to what many top brokers provide.

All in all, DB Investing is a strong pick for active traders, scalpers, and those looking for regional stock exposure, while casual beginners might find better fee structures and deeper learning resources elsewhere.
