Our Verdict

Bitget is one of the biggest crypto exchanges today. It started out as a derivatives-focused crypto exchange but now positions itself as the world’s first universal exchange (UEX) by offering a wide variety of forex, precious metals, commodities, and indices & equities.

In addition, Bitget provides features like copy trading, bot trading, API access, and P2P trading while maintaining low fees on par with the industry. However, while 24/7 chat is available, you will need to go through unhelpful automated bot loops to reach a human. Bitget shines as a UEX with a lot of features, but the lack of a dedicated Lite Mode can make it difficult for beginners to navigate the platform.

Is Bitget Right for You?

Not all traders are alike. Some prefer simple, on-the-go apps, while others need advanced features like leverage or social trading. My reviews cover every type of trader, occasional or frequent, divided into seven main groups. Using a clear, straightforward method, I assess, rank, and record key factors to see if an exchange meets each group’s needs. The three rankings are: perfect match, good choice, or not recommended. Here’s the verdict:

Bitget is a perfect match for Bot and Copy traders. Personally, I found the trading bots very helpful in portfolio management. The exchange scores very high here as it provides a very large selection of trading bots for crypto, stocks, commodities, and other TradFi assets.

The Auto-Invest bot schedules DCA, whether you hold Bitcoin, or Tesla to avoid overexposure to any one asset, while the grid bots allowed me to continue profiting during sideways markets. Bitget also excels in copy trading, featuring a wide range of trading options that suit different risk exposure strategies.

Pros
  • Wide variety of bots for different asset types
  • Automated Grid, Martingale, and Signal trading bots built-in
  • Transparent real-time metrics
  • One-click copy trading for both Spot and Futures markets
  • Low trading fees for spot & derivatives
  • Fiat and crypto deposit free via SEPA/P2P; 1.5%+ via card
Cons
  • Social trading is often cluttered with spam and promotional messages
  • No compensation for copy trading losses

My tests show Bitget to be an excellent platform for day traders, as it offers an advanced desktop platform, a large number of cryptocurrencies, TradingView integration, and a seamless trading experience. The platform also offers a wide range of altcoins that are not available on other major exchanges like Binance. It also supports TradFi assets like stocks, commodities, oil, and more which gives day traders more options.

During my testing of the platform, I had a seamless trading experience without any major issues. It is simple and has an intuitive interface that made opening and managing positions easy.

Pros
  • Advanced desktop platform with TradingView integration
  • Low spot & derivatives trading fees
  • Full PoR & Insurance coverage on customer deposits
  • Instant trade execution
  • Free fiat & crypto deposits
  • Availability of demo trading
Cons
  • Wider spreads on smaller altcoins
  • Lower liquidity score than competitors

Bitget is a perfect match for casual traders, offering one of the widest selections of cryptocurrencies with low trading fees. Bitget has a secure platform with a solid history, and they publish their Proof of Reserves monthly, easing concerns from casual traders.

It supports a large collection of assets, including cryptos, stocks, commodities, and more, making it perfect for traders just moving from traditional assets. However, for casual traders, the Bitget interface may look intimidating at first. The amount of information may seem overwhelming, but the learning curve is natural.

Pros
  • Wide selection of tradable assets, including crypto, stocks, CFDs, and more
  • Quick buy and repeat buy options
  • Clean, intuitive user interface
  • Straightforward onboarding process
  • $400 million insurance fund
  • Availability of P2P, demo trading, launchpad, copy/bot trading
Cons
  • Poor customer support
  • No dedicated Lite mode

Bitget is perfect for DCA investors, thanks to its Spot DCA and Auto-Invest tools that work on both crypto and traditional assets. You can set these tools to automatically make purchases and and Smart Portfolio can rebalance your crypto portfolio without any manual input. The Spot DCA Auto-Invest bot will make buys for you and the futures DCA strategy bot will buy dips and take profits.

In my experience, the DCA tools on Bitget are some of the safest long-term accumulation methods, especially for beginners entering into the crypto space.

Pros
  • Broad selection of over 2,168 assets
  • Flexible investment intervals available
  • Seamless integration into Bitget Earn
  • Easy tracking of average entry cost and cumulative ROI
Cons
  • Limited conditional triggers on DCA setups
  • No option for DCA orders based on price deviation

Bitget is perfect for hodlers and position traders seeking a secure and user-friendly platform. The exchange holds more than 100% of customer funds in reserve and has never suffered any security breaches, so I’m confident that my funds are safe. Plus, stake rewards enable users to generate passive income from the assets they hold on the platform.

However, I was disappointed by the platform’s customer service, having to wait over a week for a response. Despite having a comprehensive FAQ section, the platform is still let down by unhelpful live chat agents.

Pros
  • Choice of flexible staking options to earn passive income
  • $346 million Protection Fund
  • 1:1 reserves of all customer assets with full transparency
  • Regular rewards and bonuses for BGB holders
  • Launchpad for early token discovery
Cons
  • Poor customer support
  • PoR reports only in USDT, USDC, BTC, and ETH

Bitget is a perfect option for algorithmic traders seeking API access, with support for high-frequency API trading and a dedicated API sandbox environment where you can test your API strategies. The major drawback is that Bitget does not natively support a historical back-testing engine that traders can use in testing their strategies.

Pros
  • Advanced API access
  • Support for high-frequency trading
  • High rate limits for calls per second
Cons
  • No user-facing back-testing engine
  • IP bans for repeatedly exceeding rate limits
  • Lower liquidity score than competitors

Bitget is a perfect match for Leverage & Derivatives traders. In my experience using Bitget, it offers leverage and derivatives trading that is on par with the biggest names in the industry. You get very high leverage of up to 10x on margin & up to 150x on futures. The fees are also very low with very high volume to ensure that trades are instant with negligible slippage.

It comes natively with TradingView for a higher level of customization to fit different trading strategies. The Bitget desktop platform is also packed with advanced tools that support all levels of technical analysis. However, the lack of certain order types, like GTD, restricted some of my more complex strategies.

Pros
  • High leverage limits of up to 150x
  • Tight spreads and deep liquidity
  • TradingView support for advanced trading strategies
  • Low derivative trading fees
  • Advanced order types
Cons
  • Lack of GTD order type
  • Higher margin fees

  • Futures boost: After you sign into Bitget you can receive up to 200 USDT if you check in for 3 days. In order to get this you need to deposit at least 10 USDT of your own money.

The Bitget referral program gives every user a chance to earn up to 1,500 USDT when they refer users to sign up on the platform. These bonuses are unlocked when the user you refer meets the minimum deposit requirements and accumulates sufficient trading volume across spot or futures markets.

There is also a Bitget Affiliate Program for content creators, community managers, and crypto influencers who have large followings. The program offers a higher earning ceiling, with up to 50% in lifetime trading fee rebates on the spot and futures markets for every user they introduce. You also get access to a dedicated account manager, custom promotional campaign budgets, and exclusive community giveaway pools.

Beyond standard referrals, Bitget regularly hosts trading competitions (such as the King’s Cup Global Invitational), launchpool staking events, and BGB holder airdrops. By simply holding BGB in your spot wallet, you automatically qualify for new token allocations launched via the Bitget Launchpad portal.

Bitget Crypto Background

Establishment: Bitget was founded during the 2018 bear market by a team with a background in traditional finance. The exchange is registered in the Seychelles and operates with a global team of over 1,800 staff across more than 60 countries.

Leadership: In May 2024, Gracy Chen was appointed CEO, succeeding Sandra Lou, who left to pursue her own business ventures. Chen, who has served as Bitget’s Managing Director since 2022, brings expertise in business management, marketing, and investing.

Bitget is transparent about its leadership structure, providing detailed information on personnel changes directly on its website. This level of transparency is reassuring for users, as knowing who leads the exchange is key when trusting it with your investments.

Security & Transparency

How Did We Test The Exchange’s Security & Transparency?
Assessing a crypto exchange’s trustworthiness is crucial. To help you decide which exchange to use, we meticulously tested each exchange’s proof of reserves, deposit insurance, and cybersecurity measures, examining how well they protect traders and investors. Additionally, we evaluated the exchange’s stability by studying its history of hacks and the jurisdictions it operates in. Finally, we thoroughly reviewed all of the exchange’s legal documentation and publicly available information about its founders, drawing conclusions about their transparency. Our hands-on approach, including real-world testing and direct evaluation, ensures that even novice traders have the knowledge they need to make informed decisions.

Bitget constantly pushes to be on the right side of regulations and follows all industry-standard security protocols. It provides users with a range of strong account protection measures, and since its launch, it has not been hacked or suffered any loss of customer funds.

✔️ Bitget has no history of exchange hacks or fund losses.

Bitget Security Overview Details
Proof of Reserve (PoR) Yes (Monthly)

Account Security  2FA, anti-phishing code, withdrawal whitelists

Proof of Reserves & Insurance Coverage

Bitget, like other leading exchanges, updates its Merkle tree Proof-of-Reserve data monthly, along with root hash for you to verify the assets it holds. The exchange holds more than 100% of user assets in BTC, ETH, USDT, and USDC so that they ensure coverage in the case of a 100% withdrawal. However, these are the only four assets it publishes in its proof of reserves.

In addition, Bitget launched a $200 million Bitget Protection Fund in August 2022 to act as a self-insured shield against cyberattacks, security breaches, or systemic exchange failures. The fund’s wallet addresses are public, and they change over time, currently valued at $351 million as of August 2026.

Account Security

Bitget is one of the biggest crypto exchanges today, and so it places a premium on customer security by putting in place several important security features. They include:

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Bitget supports two-factor authentication, which adds an extra layer of security over the account login and password. If someone finds your username and password, they will still need to have access to the authentication code in order to log in.

Anti-Phishing Code: When you create a Bitget account, you get an anti-phishing code which you can turn on to be displayed in all official email messages you receive from Bitget. If an email message doesn’t contain this exact code, you can easily tell it’s not from Bitget.

Withdrawal Verification: There is also a withdrawal verification feature on Bitget, which sends you a confirmation code on every withdrawal before it can be confirmed. With this, it becomes more difficult for people with unverified access to your account to make withdrawals.

Email Verification: Before you can make any significant changes to your Bitget account, the platform will send you a confirmation email to the email address used in registration. This adds an additional security barrier for account administration.

Device Management: Bitget keeps track of every device you have used to log into the platform. You can see all the platforms you are currently logged into and delete devices that you no longer trust or have access to.

Risk Monitoring: Bitget constantly watches accounts for unusual activity such as shady login attempts and fraudulent deals. The number of these features might seem standard now, but if combined, they form several obstacles to unauthorized access.

Licensing & Regulation

Bitget holds quite a few licences that lend trust and security to its traders.
Bitget has:

  • AUSTRAC (Australia) – (they have an ASIC warning)
  • BSP (El Salvador)
  • DASP(El Salvador)
  • National Bank of Georgia
  • FCA (UK) – Not a licence
  • CNV (Argentina) – Virtual Asset Provider
  • SAT (Mexico) – Vulnerable Activity Registration
  • FINMA (Switzerland)- SRO member no licences

Bitget’s proactive approach to global compliance has led it to be in the process of obtaining operational approvals and licenses in several more major geographies and trying to become compliant with international regulations, such as the Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework in Europe. That being said they are still waiting on approval and don’t hold this licence.

General Reliability

Bitget is one of the most reliable centralized crypto exchanges I’ve traded with. The exchange has no negative uptime reports while providing its users with efficient processing for deposits and withdrawals, accurate trade execution, and still adding new features. Although the main Bitget exchange platform has not been hacked, its BitKeep wallet was breached in 2022, but they claimed to have reimbursed everyone affected.

On BugRap, Bitget has an active bug bounty program that rewards developers with up to 50,000 USDC for finding and reporting bugs on the mobile app (Android & iOS), web app, wallet extension, and desktop client. Bitget also has a record of excellent order execution during high volatility periods in the crypto market. It also maintains transparency, with regular announcements on social media pages about maintenance, new listings, system updates, and promotions.

Verified Trust Scores

On leading independent exchange websites, Bitget ranks very high in security and trust scores. Among exchanges that maintain a self-funded insurance pool to protect users in extreme situations, Bitget has one of the biggest pools of over $351 million, as of June 2026.

Rating  Score
Skynet CertiK Security Score AA – 90.96
Cer.live Security Rating AAA – 90
CoinGecko Trust Score 10/10
CryptoCompare Grade BB – 74.19

Know Your Customer (KYC)

KYC is mandatory to get full access to the features that Bitget offers. After creating my account, I was met with a message to complete identity verification before I could begin trading. The basic KYC verification requires you to submit an official government identity document and facial recognition.

The KYC verification process on Bitget is handled by Sumsub, which means the process is fairly straightforward and hassle-free. You send over pictures of your documents, take a selfie, and Sumsub handles the rest. Bitget completed my basic KYC verification in less than five minutes.

Is Bitget Safe To Trade With?

During my time testing Bitget, I found it to be one of the centralized exchanges that maintains a very high level of trust and stability, making it a safe exchange to trade with. For customer trust, Bitget publishes monthly Proof-of-Reserve reports and maintains a ≥100% reserve ratio on all customer deposits. Bitget also has a Protection Fund ($351 million as of August 2026) to cover user assets in extreme situations.

While Bitget checks all the account security measures, including 2FA, biometric authentication, and fund passwords, it only publishes reserve data for 4 tokens (BTC, ETH, USDT, & USDC) and lacks formal licensing from major regulatory bodies.

Trading Test

Step 1: Setting Up and Funding Your Account

Setting up an account on Bitget is a very simple process. When you log in to the official Bitget Website and click Sign Up at the top right-hand corner, you will be asked to provide an email address or phone number. Agree to the terms, click next and then create a strong password that includes a number, upper case, and special characters. If you sign up with a referral code, you can get up to 6,200 USDT.

Bitget will send you a 6-digit verification code to your email or phone number to confirm your account. Signing up with your Google, Apple, or Telegram account will skip the verification part of the registration process. After the registration process, I proceeded to deposit 100 USDT on Bitget so I could begin trading on the platform and testing its features. Depositing crypto is fairly straightforward, but you can also buy crypto via credit/debit cards and third-party providers directly on the platform.

Step 2: Trading

Placing trades on Bitget, whether spot, derivatives, margin, or TradFi, is quick and straightforward. While there are a lot of options on Bitget, the platform is designed to be intuitive and easy to use. The order forms for the different trading options allow for a high level of customization. They are similar to most other exchanges and almost identical to the ones used on mobile applications, which makes it extremely easy to switch between both platforms with a low learning curve.

One of the biggest downsides of placing trades on Bitget is the absence of GTD (Good ’Til Date) orders, which is a staple for some traders. This could be a dealbreaker for day traders who use trading strategies that rely on the GTD order.

Step 3: Withdrawal and Review

After closing my trade for a nice profit, I initiated an on-chain withdrawal of 515 USDT back to an external Web3 wallet. I confirmed the transaction using Google 2FA and my Anti-Phishing email code. The withdrawal request was processed by Bitget within 3 minutes, arriving safely in my wallet shortly after. Crypto withdrawal on Bitget was smooth, like you would expect from a top exchange with very high volume.

Desktop Version

My experience with the Bitget desktop version was overall a good one. It features more than enough advanced tools and features that the advanced trader seeks, while at the same time being easy enough for new users to navigate.

Bitget fully supports MT5 and TradingView integration, which gives traders looking for advanced technical charts and indicators access to more than they can use. Overall, the layout will look familiar to users coming from other top exchanges.

Tools for Active Traders Availability
Order Book Depth Yes
Advanced Charting Yes
Technical Indicators 100+
Drawing Tools Yes
Watchlist Yes
MetaTrader 4/5 Support MT5 (for CFD and multi asset trading)

I always had a smooth trading experience while using the desktop app, and it ran flawlessly throughout my testing on Chrome and Opera browsers.

Because of how intuitive the Bitget platform is, you can seamlessly switch between tokens and markets by clicking on the trading pair in the top left. The dropdown menu displays all the available markets on Bitget, allowing you to easily switch between crypto TradFi, tokenized stocks, DeFi, Layer 2, memecoins, and more.

Spot Trading

Spot trading on Bitget was designed to be quick and straightforward. The order forms are intuitive and easy to use while still allowing for a high level of customization. They are similar to most other exchanges and almost identical to the ones used on the mobile, making it easy for traders to switch between the two platforms.

TradFi and Tokenized Stock Futures

Bitget started out as a derivatives-focused crypto exchange, but now brands itself as the first Universal Exchange (UEX), featuring a large library of tokenized traditional assets and stock futures. Because Bitget is primarily a crypto exchange, its TradFi and tokenized stock futures are settled in USDT/USDT. This means that these perpetual futures supply synthetic, leveraged exposure to major U.S. stocks, including AAPL, AMZN, META and ETFs and more all from a single Bitget account.

Because of this, users that already hold USDT don’t need to open a separate USD brokerage account and will suffer no foreign exchange (FX) conversion losses, which is a massive cost-saving advantage compared to traditional brokers. Whether users are trading real US stocks or tokenized rTokens, they provide real US stock market liquidity during US market hours. In addition, Bitget doesn’t rely on one issuer for its pricing, meaning that its stock futures contracts track composite indices built from tokenized asset sources like Pyth. Another benefit of Bitget offering these assets is that it offers 24/7 trading windows, allowing you to hedge and speculate at any time.

Desktop Crypto Markets Overview

I found Bitget’s market discovery page to be one of the most thought-out among the top crypto exchanges. Living up to its branding as a universal exchange, the Bitget Crypto Markets Overview gives you an instant insight into the latest trending crypto tokens, TradFi assets, Stocks, and tokenized assets.

The Bitget algorithm-based suggestions are designed to give you an immediate idea of tokens with recent breakouts. The page also includes options for you to sort assets based on their classes, performance, gains, market cap, and more. There is also the option of curating assets that you want to track their performance, giving you the option to easily view them at any time.

Conditional Orders

Bitget offers a good amount of conditional orders, which allowed me to set triggers to automate active trades. The standard stop limit, take-profit, stop-loss, and stop market strategies that I expect from a top-tier exchange are all available here. These conditional orders are important to manage risks because of how volatile the market can be.

API Access

Bitget offers its users a developer-focused API management setting where they can quickly create their custom API keys with read-only, spot trading, or futures execution permissions. It also supports IP whitelist restrictions, allowing developers to add an extra layer of protection to their API keys. Bitget also has dedicated low-latency (LoLa) API endpoints, available to Pro users and market makers, for those who require RTT, basically meaning you get faster round trip times.

There is also an API Sandbox integrated into the Bitget Demo Trading environment where you can test your demo API Key. In the sandbox, you can test your automated strategies, refine their logic, and stress test them to ensure you get the best results before they hit the market.

Trading Bots

One area where Bitget shines is the sheer number of trading bots that are available on the platform. Bitget has a number of its own algorithmic trading robots that run 24/7 including Grid Bots (Spot and Futures), which are orders placed inside a range. Bitget also offers DCA (Dollar-Cost Averaging) and Martingale Bots for position building for both fiat and crypto holders.

This enables traders to buy in at lower prices. Besides, there are technical momentum CTA bots, signal-trading bots that execute trades when the Tradingview alert triggers and AI-powered bots that will suggest parameters from backtesting through history. These bots are objective, have tight risk management settings, and can trade 24/7 without any human involvement.

Copy Trading

In the crypto space, many newbies and experienced traders often consider Bitget to be the best crypto copy trading platform. While best is subjective, Bitget has more than 190,000 elite traders on its copy trading platform, very deep liquidity, and support for spot, futures, commodities, and bot copy trading.

When I followed an Elite Trader, Bitget automatically replicates their trades in real-time, including their entry and exit points, leverage, and other factors. However, Bitget gives you full control of your risk management, including maximum allocation amount, stop loss ratio, max slippage, and leverage. Skilled traders can also benefit from Bitget’s profit-sharing model, where Elite Traders share a portion of the profits (usually 10% to 20% of their followers’ profits) generated by their followers.

There is also Bot Copy Trading which gives Bitget traders the ability to generate income from their automated trading strategies, and followers can also clone algorithmic bots straight from the creators. Bitget’s integration of automated execution and social trading capabilities positions the platform as an ideal solution for connecting beginners with advanced trading techniques.

My Key Takeaways After Testing Bitget Desktop

The Bitget trading app has a lot of tools, but it is also fast and works reliably all the time. The navigation of the spot, futures and copy trading menus is smooth once you get used to it. My only slight issue is that when you log in, there are a lot of promotions and banners on the Home page, which make it seem visually cluttered.

Bitget Mobile App

The Bitget mobile app is available on iOS and Android, and it ran very smoothly during my period of testing without any issues. The app offers almost comparable features to the desktop version, while being designed to be very intuitive and easy to use for beginners. The advanced features for experienced traders are mostly present, but TradingView integration is notably absent.

The Bitget app has a coin search page that will help you identify the asset you want to search for easily, and also display trending searches by other users on the spot and futures markets. This is a feature not offered by many other competing exchanges and allows users to easily see which tokens are more active.

Trading Experience

Trading on the mobile app felt comparable to the desktop platform, but you may need to toggle a few more dropdowns to find what you’re looking for. However, the most notable absence here is TradingView, which means some advanced trading tools will also be missing. The mobile app sacrifices order form features but identical customization and price and market depth information are visible.

Market Discovery

The Markets page shows the latest trending tokens from all available markets, including algorithm-based suggestions on tokens with recent breakouts. This page also provides information about top gainers and losers, a heatmap of the crypto market, and highlights sectors with the most price movement.

Watchlist Management

With Bitget’s Watchlist Management feature, you can easily add tokens to your watchlist. It displays these tokens on your homepage and on the markets page to ensure you’re always up to date on the prices of your favorite tokens.

Price Alerts

The Bitget app has a price alerts feature that you can enable and customize to receive notifications based on different criteria. You can set it to receive notifications when the price of Bitcoin and other cryptos falls to a certain level, rises/falls by a percentage, rises/falls by a percentage in 24 hours and much more.

Portfolio Clarity

The Bitget portfolio overview page was designed to give you a clear overview of your assets and all you own on the platform. At a glance, I could see the total account balance, with a breakdown of what I hold across spot, futures, earn, margin, bots, and funding accounts. There is also a graph that shows your account growth size over time, along with a pie chart showing the allocations of each asset within your portfolio.

User Experience

Bitget offers a comprehensive mobile app for trading and asset management and trading on the go. It’s available on Apple and Google Stores. Like its desktop version, the mobile app packs a lot of features sticking to Bitget’s claims of being the first Universal Exchange.

During my week-long usage of the iOS app, I found it to be suitable for beginners and experienced traders alike, thanks to the intuitive layout that still provides advanced trading features. While there are a lot of features crammed into the app, there is no toggle for a Lite and Pro version, which would have been great for casual users looking for less and advanced users who want all the features.

My Key Takeaways After Testing the Bitget Mobile App

The Bitget mobile app is a great tool to have, as it gives you all the features that the desktop app offers on the go. During my testing, the iOS and Android apps both opened smoothly and operated without any bugs or glitches. While there are a lot of features, it was built with the user in mind, making it great to navigate around the app.

Although I was very satisfied using the Bitget app, I would like the addition of the Withdrawal Option in the Asset Overview page, like some other apps I’ve used. Also, the lack of dedicated Lite and Pro modes is a feature that could make the app better for casual and advanced traders.

Fees

4.6
How Did We Test The Exchange’s Fees?
Understanding an exchange’s fees can be challenging. To simplify this for you, we carefully examined all the exchange's fee-related documentation and presented it in a clear, easy-to-understand format. Additionally, we conducted hands-on tests for depositing and withdrawing both fiat and crypto to understand all trading, non-trading, and hidden fees. We then compared these real-time test results to the market benchmark we've established through our extensive experience evaluating the industry.
Chart

One of the places where Bitget shines is in low trading fees. Its trading fees are on par with what the top exchanges charge in the industry.

📉 Futures trading fees: 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker

💸 €1 withdrawal fee on SEPA, 30 USD on SWIFT, 1.5% to 5% on third-party options

Bitget has a VIP tiered system that reduces the fee you pay as your trading volume increases. Also, traders who pay spot fees with the Bitget token (BGB) will enjoy 20% discounts.

Bitget Spot Maker/Taker Fees

While spot trading on the Bitget exchange, I considered the basic trading fees, possible savings with native tokens and other options that give you a discount. This method offers a clear view of fee structures and savings for traders of all levels, comparing them to industry standards to assess affordability. Traders who pay fees with the Bitget Token (BGB) will pay 20% lower trading fees.

Pricing Tier Maker/Taker Industry Average
Up To $10K 0.10%/0.10% 0.41%/0.51%
Up To $100K 0.10%/0.10% 0.33%/0.37%
Up To $500K 0.08%/0.08% 0.25%/0.29%

Bitget also has a VIP tiered model, rewarding traders with lower fees as their monthly trading volume or account balance increases. While the spot trading fees start at 0.1%, and they can go as low as 0%/0.03% for the highest-volume traders. Overall, I found Bitget’s spot trading fees to be on par with the industry, comparable to those of major players like Bybit.

Bitget offers free deposits for crypto and fiat when you use the P2P local deposit option, which supports ~60 fiat currencies. However, Bitget charges standard third-party processing fees of 1.5-5% for a credit or debit card (such as Visa or Mastercard). The rate will depend on your location.

Bitget allows users to transfer local fiat currency via SEPA, Faster Payments Service (FPS), PIX, Credit/Debit cards, P2P, and third-party fiat gateways, Alchemy Pay, Banxa, Simplex, & more.

Crypto Deposits

During my testing, crypto deposits on Bitget were free, like you would expect from a major crypto exchange. In addition, I found that Bitget requires fewer network confirmations for crypto deposits than I’m used to.

Withdrawal Fees

Bitget charges a small fixed fee for EUR and BRL via SEPA or Bank Transfer. However, credit cards cannot be used for withdrawals, but supports free P2P trading for more than 70 fiat currencies. The transaction fees you will pay for the on-chain crypto withdrawal on Bitget are the standard network fees that are dependent on the blockchain and congestion.

How Competitive Are Bitget Fees?

Bitget’s fee structure is very competitive and compares favorably with the top tier-1 centralized exchanges. The basic spot trading fee is 0.1% for both makers and takers, with a 20% discount for users using Bitget’s native token BGB. At futures markets, Bitget offers 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker fees, which are directly in line with industry standards such as Binance and Bybit.

Tiered VIP discounts are available for high-volume traders, based on 30-day trading volume, BGB holdings, or asset balances, bringing maker fees down to 0% and taker fees as low as 0.03% but this is only for the VIP 7 Level. Along with the waiver of promotional fees on customized agreements, Bitget offers cost-efficient execution at the retail and institutional levels.

Cryptocurrencies Available on Bitget Exchange

How Did We Test The Exchange’s Available Cryptocurrencies?
For this section, we examined the exchange’s market offerings, assessing the variety of coins and trading pairs available. Using our proprietary database, we compared these results with those of other exchanges. We also evaluated the availability of launchpads and third-party liquidity scores, a highly trusted metric in the crypto world. This comprehensive analysis helps you determine if the exchange offers the specific crypto assets you're looking for.
Chart

Bitget exchange offers a very wide selection of tradable assets, with around 540 cryptocurrencies for spot trading, which makes it one of the biggest libraries of altcoins and memecoins.

💧 High liquidity score of 667 on CoinMarketCap

🚫 No NFT marketplace (unless you open a wallet with them which is a separate app)

When it comes to tokens other than Bitcoin and Ethereum, there is always a big diversity. Bitget offers spot trading for 540 cryptocurrencies and more than 606 spot trading pairs. The CoinMarketCap liquidity score is solid, with a respectable score of 667. You will not have any trouble searching for any major asset or legitimate altcoin.

Bitget is also a token launchpad, with new projects launching, though the quality is what you would expect from any exchange launchpad. Some winners and many duds. Use your judgment.

Liquidity

Bitget has a CoinMarketCap liquidity score of 667, which puts it solidly in the tier-1 exchanges in liquidity and volume. On most cryptocurrencies on the platform, you can expect very deep order books, which ensure that there is minimal price slippage on large assets (crypto and TradFi), even during volatile trading sessions.

Launchpad

Bitget’s Launchpad, alongside its complementary platforms Launchpool and PoolX and CandyBomb, is a multi-layered asset distribution engine that not only provides retail investors with access to vetted Web3 projects early on its platforms but also creates utility for the Bitget Token (BGB).

  • Bitget Launchpad (IEO Platform): Functions like a traditional Initial Exchange Offering platform. Users lock BGB within set snapshot periods to get lottery tickets or proportionate tokens for early-stage crypto startups prior to public spot listing.
  • Bitget Launchpool: A passive yield farming platform that lets users lock their assets like BGB, USDT or big altcoins and harvest newly listed tokens without actually buying them. Rewards are calculated and paid out every hour, and unstaking is flexible.
  • CandyBomb & PoolX: Task and airdrop hubs that reward users for completing specific trading, deposit or social tasks and for holding BGB.
  • Super Airdrops: Bitget, through its Super Airdrops program, distributes new token listings into eligible BGB holders’ wallets, giving them passive exposure to new listings.

How Did We Test The Exchange’s Deposits & Withdrawals?
The deposit or withdrawal process can be tricky, with potential hidden fees, longer-than-expected processing times, and limited options in certain countries. To assess an exchange’s offerings, we examined its deposit and withdrawal options, conditions, and fiat currency support. We also conducted real-time testing to evaluate the available options in specific areas and determine the actual fees. Using our proprietary database, we compared these results with those of other exchanges, ensuring a comprehensive, firsthand assessment.

Quick Pay: Bitget has a quick buy option that lets you instantly buy any cryptocurrency with a few clicks using a credit/debit card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay, with over 125 supported fiat currencies. One important thing to know is that Bitget Quick Buy processes through third-party payment partners. However, it works just as well as other platforms but comes with its own fees.

Third-Party Providers: I found a good number of third-party providers to choose from on Bitget to instantly buy crypto. Bitget supports Alchemy Pay, Simplex, Banxa, MoonPay, Mercuryo, and other third-party providers for crypto purchases. You can use most of the third-party providers directly via Bitget Quick Buy for instant crypto purchases, and the processing fee when you use this method is often between 1.5% – 5%.

P2P Trading: In countries where no direct bank option is supported, Bitget has a P2P-friendly trading platform that covers ~60 fiat currencies. Using Bitget’s P2P interface, you can get important information about the seller, including their completion rate, completed orders, rating, and customer feedback. With this information, you can choose the most trusted sellers to complete your crypto purchases. Bitget also has an escrow service for P2P trading, which holds the seller’s tokens and releases them to you automatically once you have made your payment.

Bitget primarily supports fiat withdrawals via SEPA, bank transfers, and P2P trading. When using one of the directly supported methods, the withdrawal fees are usually small compared to third-party providers. This makes them good options for both frequent and large withdrawals.

Daily Withdrawal Limits

Crypto (USDT)         Yes

3,000,000 USDT for VIP 0

Cash/Fiat (USD, EUR, etc.) Yes €15,000 for verified users only €15,000 for verified users only

To make withdrawals on Bitget, you need to first pass the KYC verification process, then climb on the VIP level ranking to increase your daily crypto withdrawal limits. For example, the base level, VIP 0, gives you a 3,000,000 USDT daily withdrawal limit. Bitget’s daily fiat withdrawals are also capped at €15,000 or equivalent in other fiat currencies, which is significantly less than I’m used to seeing in the industry. This means that you need to climb up the VIP ranking to make larger withdrawals or spread them out over time.

Customer Service

4.3
How Did We Test The Exchange’s Customer Service?
Crypto traders often underestimate the importance of customer support, yet it proves to be a critical aspect during times of crisis. We tested the exchange’s customer support through all available channels, including chatbot, phone, email, and live chat with an agent. Our evaluation focused on the accessibility of live agents, response speed, and the helpfulness and professionalism of their responses. This way, we provide comprehensive insights into whether an exchange can deliver full support when you need it most.
Chart

Bitget offers 24/7 customer service in 22 languages via live chat and email support and also has a very comprehensive FAQ section. When I tried to get across to a customer representative, I first received support from Bitget’s virtual assistant, which suggests FAQ pages related to your query, but you can quickly be connected to a human agent.

Customer Service Test

I had a fairly good experience with Bitget’s customer support. While Support initially suggested FAQs that could answer my question, in less than a minute of asking to speak with a human, I was redirected to a human customer support agent. I asked the standard set of questions. The agent asked to place me on hold for 5 minutes to provide answers to all of the questions. When they responded the answers lacked any figure for the Bitget Protection Fund, while the customer representative mentioned that the exact uptime couldn’t be provided over chat support.

I asked the same questions via email support, but didn’t get any real answer. I was redirected to check the Bitget Help Centre or open a ticket with a customer support agent to get the answers I needed. I tried this twice and got the same response.

Overall, the Bitget customer service can do with some improvement, especially as it is one of the biggest crypto exchanges, which serves millions of users globally. I also found that although they have Telegram it’s mainly a community channel and the team would not contact you through it. Despite the comprehensive FAQ section and fast, but not that helpful, customer service, the email support fell very short of expectations, which means I have to rank Bitget’s customer support lower than competitors like Binance and Bybit.
