Little over a year ago, NFT was just one of the many random words popping from the crypto space. According to available information, the aforementioned superstars recently bought into the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection NFT using the exclusive MoonPay’s “concierge service.”

The four artists, at different times, during the past week acted like many NFT owners on Twitter by replacing their profile picture with the image of their new purchase.

A closer look at the Twitter activities of these celebrities shows Diplo, for instance, posting a Spotify wrapped image featuring his NFT, Future was also spotted posting an image with his NFT on November 28.

Interestingly, among all of the celebrities who made a recent purchase of an NFT, only Diplo has a known OpenSea address with sources claiming that other celebrities who purchased an NFT did so through “MoonPay’s Concierge.”

What is MoonPay’s Concierge?

MoonPay, a leading crypto payment firm, launched a concierge service whose aim was to bring crypto-related services and products like NFTs to a specific strata of the society who are not really familiar with the crypto space terrain.

Notably, the firm had refused to confirm if it was providing these services publicly, however, a look at its transactions history on OpenSea would reveal that it purchased the NFTs of the superstars. Thus, it means that MoonPay had been helping them to set up a wallet and make purchases from the marketplace before delivering the NFTs to the stars for an undisclosed fee.

Towards the end of last month, MoonPay had raised over $500 million from new investors which raised its valuation to over $3 billion. Its new concierge services also boast of serving other celebrities like Post Malone, Lil Baby, and talk show host Jimmy Fallon.
