FxPro Reaches Agreement to Buy Spot FX Aggregator Quotix

FxPro Group entered into an agreement to acquire spot FX aggregator Quotix, a deal that gives it full control over its FX liquidity provision and help it expand into institutional-based services.

The deal merges FxPro’s expert grasp of the retail FX market with Quotix’s technology, which translates into faster trade execution and speed, besides boosting pricing and liquidity for its clients that rely on either cTrader or MT4 platforms.

The move also paves the way for FxPro to consolidate its position as all overall FX services provider as it will now be able to provide spot FX aggregation, liquidity and topnotch brokerage services to brokers and institutional clients.

“As we continue to grow exponentially across the globe, liquidity is critical to ensuring we can provide the best spot FX prices for our clients. This new acquisition allows FxPro to diversify and opens more doors as we start to offer prime-of-prime, aggregation and liquidity services. Above all it will mean improved pricing for clients,” said Charalambos Psimolophitis, FxPro’s CEO. “We currently have twelve liquidity providers and are aiming to increase this number. By acquiring Quotix we will also be in a stronger position to work more closely with our existing liquidity providers and bring on new ones.”

This is the first time FxPro has acquired a technology services firm and highlights its shift towards investments in innovative technologies that will boost its market profile.

Elsewhere, exchange and clearing house Intercontinental Exchange said on Wednesday that it will strategically invest in Holland Clearing House, with ABN Amro Clearing retaining a minority stake in the venture.
