🪙WhiteBIT, established in 2018, is a global cryptocurrency exchange available in 170 countries.

💰It offers a range of trading options, including Spot, Futures, and Margin trading, with around 350 coins and 730 trading pairs.

    Is WhiteBIT Right for You?

When reviewing exchanges, we consider all types of traders, from casual to active. Our clear and thorough approach helps explain trading strategies and their requirements. By analyzing and ranking key factors, we assess how well each exchange suits different traders.

WhiteBIT is not suitable for copy, social, and bot traders, as it lacks these features. However, it fits various types of traders. Here’s our verdict:

WhiteBIT is a perfect match for derivatives trading. The platform offers around 200 tradeable assets in Futures with up to 100x leverage, aligning with industry standards. Margin Trading comes with 30 pairs traded with up to 10x leverage. However, leveraged tokens are not available. Traders looking to diversify their portfolios with such assets may consider other platforms like Binance or KuCoin.

    Pros
    • Futures Trading with up to 100x Leverage
    • Margin Trading with up to 10x leverage
    • 2FA, an Anti-Phishing Code, Passkeys, and Fingerprint Authentication
    Cons
    • No leveraged tokens

WhiteBIT is a perfect match for DCA traders. It offers an auto-investment tool with flexible options, including hourly plans and no minimum investment requirement.

Advanced settings let users set price limits and define the number of purchases. Auto-Invest supports many cryptos, including BTC, ETH, LTC, SOL, and other altcoins.

However, the platform doesn’t support automatic purchases from a credit card or bank account, so you’ll need to manually deposit crypto into your WhiteBIT account.

    Pros
    • Auto-Invest calculator for easy planning
    • No minimum amount to start DCA
    • Flexible auto-investment options: hourly to 3 years
    • Supports major altcoins like BTC, ETH, SOL, and more
    Cons
    • No Proof of Reserves or insurance fund
    • No direct deposits from bank accounts or credit cards

WhiteBIT is a perfect match for casual traders. The platform supports direct fiat deposits and withdrawals in nine currencies while offering industry-standard security measures. Additionally, it provides an active bug bounty program.

However, some order types, such as Trailing Stop, GTC, GTD, and Day orders, are missing. The platform also lacks Copy and Social Trading features. Users looking for these tools may prefer platforms like Bit.com or BitMart.

    Pros
    • Supports 9 fiat currencies

    • No GTC, GTD, Day orders, and Trailing Stop

WhiteBIT is an acceptable choice for hodlers and position traders, offering strong security measures and support for around 300 major cryptocurrencies. Users can earn passive income through high-yield crypto lending, which is called Earn Program.

The Earn program offers up to 18.64% APR, with top assets like BTC, SOL, and XRP reaching up to 17.39%. The Flex Plan provides hourly earnings with instant withdrawals, while the Fixed Plan offers higher, guaranteed returns for locked funds, making it suitable for both short- and long-term strategies.

However, WhiteBIT has an average liquidity score and does not offer insurance on fiat deposits. Those looking for a wider selection of altcoins may consider KuCoin or Binance.

    Pros
    • Passive income via Crypto Lending
    • 2FA, an Anti-Phishing Code, Passkeys, and Fingerprint Authentication
    • Flex and Fixed plans for Earning
    • Passive income up to 18.64%
    • Excellent customer service
    Cons
    • Around 300 tradeable assets

WhiteBIT is an acceptable choice for day traders. The platform supports Limit, Stop-Market, Stop-Limit, Stop-Loss, and Take-Profit orders while integrating a built-in TradingView interface for price analysis. Its trading fees are among the lowest in the market, helping active traders save on their orders. Additionally, the exchange has never been breached and maintains above-average rankings from reputable security auditors.

However, it does not support advanced order types such as Trailing Stop, GTC, GTD, and Day orders. There are also no built-in bots for automating trades and no copy or social trading options.

    • Low trading fees for Spot and Futures Trading

    • Futures and Margin trading
    • TradingView integration
    • Limit, Stop-Market, Stop-Limit, Stop-Loss, and Take-Profit order types
    Cons
    • Lacks advanced order types like Trailing Stop, GTC, GTD, and Day orders

WhiteBIT is an acceptable choice for algorithmic traders. The platform offers a robust API library with access to trading data, allowing traders to enhance their analytics. It also implements industry-standard security measures to protect users’ funds.

We thoroughly evaluated the WhiteBIT platform to provide a reliable review of its usability, features, and costs. Here’s our detailed analysis:

Step 1: Setting Up and Funding Your Account

    WhiteBIT Desktop Version

In this review, I tested the desktop version of WhiteBIT in the Chrome browser. As a casual trader, I found the navigation simple due to its standard layout and user-friendly interface.

The trading features are extensive and meet the needs of expert traders. The available order types include Market, Limit, Stop-Market, Stop-Limit, and Stop-Loss.

Experienced traders can also access advanced tools such as Margin and Futures trading, Crypto Lending, integration with TradingView, an advanced API, and a native DEX. However, the platform does not offer Iceberg, GTC/GTD, or Day orders.

    Futures Trading

WhiteBIT’s Futures Trading section includes approximately 200 assets, with leverage of up to 100x. Fees are minimal, and the platform supports standard order types: Market, Stop-Limit, and Stop-Market, similar to those in Spot trading.

Popular contracts such as BTC, ETH, and SOL see daily trading volumes exceeding $50 million, indicating strong liquidity across major pairs.

    Margin Trading

WhiteBIT also supports Margin Trading, offering around 30 trading pairs with leverage of up to 10x. This allows users to trade using borrowed funds, increasing both risk and potential returns.

While the selection is smaller compared to platforms like DigiFinex, it includes several widely traded assets such as ADA, LINK, and TRX.

    Crypto Lending

The platform offers crypto lending, allowing long-term investors to put their idle assets to work. Around 90 assets are available for lending, with APY ranging from 1.5% to 19%. The lending period varies between 10 and 360 days, while the minimum deposit is equivalent to USD 50. WhiteBIT outperforms other platforms like Phemex and Backpack by offering a wider choice of assets.

    Simplified Trading Process

WhiteBIT offers a simple tool to convert supported assets between one another. While the tool does not display the fees it charges, it can be convenient for quick asset exchanges. Platforms like Bit.com and BitDelta offer a similar solution for newbies and casual traders, though the last one comes with fewer trading pairs.

My Key Takeaways After Testing WhiteBIT

WhiteBIT is ideal for beginners and casual traders with its user-friendly interface and simple trading process. Experienced traders benefit from advanced tools, low fees, and a crypto lending option for long-term holding.

However, the platform lacks features such as copy trading, trading bots, and advanced order types like GTC, GTD, Trailing Stop, and Day orders.

    WhiteBIT Mobile App

The WhiteBIT Mobile App is available for iOS and Android devices. Its trading functionalities closely mirror those of the desktop version. The interface is light and user-friendly, making it a good fit for crypto trading beginners.

    The WhiteBIT Mobile App
    The WhiteBIT Mobile App

During testing, the WhiteBIT mobile app stood out for its comprehensive set of security features. It supports fingerprint authentication, PIN protection, anti-phishing codes, passkeys, and two-factor authentication (2FA). Additionally, the app uses a QR code scanner during withdrawals to help prevent errors.

While many platforms offer some combination of these tools, few of the apps I’ve tested include all of them at once.

Key features and tools on WhiteBIT Mobile include:

    • Trading Features: The trading tools mirror those on the desktop version. You can use various order types, such as Market, Limit, Stop-Market, and Stop-Limit, while Futures trading includes Take-Profit and Stop-Loss orders.

My Key Takeaways After Testing WhiteBIT on WhiteBIT Mobile

WhiteBIT Mobile offers the same tools and features as the desktop version. The interface is light and user-friendly, making the app a great choice for active traders on the go. During my tests, the app performed excellently, loading all pages instantly. Its security features help protect traders’ assets in case their devices are lost or stolen.

    Fees

WhiteBIT charges low trading fees, making it great for active traders.

    💱 Spot fees: 0.1% (maker/taker).
    📊 Futures fees: 0.01% / 0.035%.
🔄 Margin trading: Daily fee of 0.0585%.

Crypto deposits incur no fees, while fiat deposit fees range from 0.2% to 3.5%. WhiteBIT offers discounts to large-volume traders and for holding WBT (its native token).

    Spot Maker/Taker Fees

In our review of spot fees, we examine spot fees across three distinct tiers, focusing on the fees for different trading volumes. We focus on the essentials and potential savings through native tokens and various discount schemes. Our unique methodology provides a clear view of fee structures and how they benefit traders of all levels.

The first tier typically represents casual traders, as they don’t usually trade more than $10,000 per month, while the higher tiers often relate to more advanced traders. Using this method, we’re categorizing users not only by their trading style but also by the amount of money they spend on the exchange.

Additionally, we also compare these fees with industry standards to give a thorough perspective on each exchange’s affordability.

Pricing tier Maker/Taker Fee  Maker/Taker (Discounted)  Industry Average
    Up to $10K 0.1%/0.1% 0.05%/0.09% 0.41% / 0.51%
    Up to $100K 0.1%/0.1% 0.05%/0.09% 0.33% / 0.37%
    Up to $500K 0.1%/0.1% 0.04%/0.085% 0.25% / 0.29%

WhiteBIT’s fees are considerably lower than the industry average. The platform doesn’t differentiate between makers and takers, charging them equal fees, which encourages both liquidity creation and order fulfillment.

    Deposit Fees

    Deposit Method Fees
    SEPA 0.2%
    Wire Transfer 0-0.15%
    Credit/Debit Card 1.5-3.5%
    Volet  1.5%
    GooglePay / ApplePay 1.5%
    Crypto  Free

WhiteBIT charges average fees for fiat deposits through the most commonly available methods. However, bank deposits via SEPA or wire transfer come with notably lower fees, making WhiteBIT more competitive with platforms like KuCoin and Crypto.com in this regard.

WhiteBIT supports fiat withdrawals, but only for specific currencies. You can withdraw USD and EUR to a bank card or Volet.com. EUR withdrawals can also be made via SEPA transfer, incurring a 5 EUR fee.

Crypto withdrawals are subject to a small fee that varies by asset. For example, when I withdrew USDT to an external wallet, the exchange charged 0.87 USDT on the ERC20 network and 1 USDT on other supported blockchains, such as TRC20, NEAR, and SOL. Sending funds to another user on the platform is free.

I found WhiteBIT’s withdrawal fees mostly reasonable, although withdrawals to global bank cards are quite costly. The range of available currencies is limited, as the exchange doesn’t support some major fiats like GBP, CAD, and AUD.

Futures and Margin Trading Fee Rate

WhiteBIT uses the same maker-taker fee model for both futures and spot trading but with lower fees due to the high risks associated with futures. Makers pay 0.01%, while takers pay 0.035%. Additionally, the exchange charges a 0.0585% daily fee for margin trading.

    Fee Discounts

WhiteBIT offers two methods to reduce trading fees:

    • High Trading Volume: Advanced traders receive discounts after reaching certain monthly trading volumes, starting at a minimum of $100,000.
    • WhiteBIT Native Tokens: Traders who hold or stake WBT can reduce their maker fees, with discounts ranging from 30% to 100% based on their token balance.

    Fee discounts for WBT holders

    Are WhiteBIT Fees Competitive?

    • During my tests, I confirmed that WhiteBIT’s fees match those listed on its website, with no hidden costs.
    • Trading fees are lower than average, and you can get additional discounts by reaching high trading volumes or by holding the native token.
    • Fiat deposit and withdrawal fees are average.

Overall, WhiteBIT’s fees are transparent and competitively priced, making it a solid choice for active traders.

    Available Cryptocurrencies

WhiteBIT’s selection of around 300 coins and 550 trading pairs meets industry standards but is slightly below some top-tier exchanges.

💸 Assets can be traded against BTC, USDT, and fiat currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, UAH, TRY).

⭐ Popular coins: XRP, ETH, ADA, and AAVE.

🔒 Privacy coins: DASH and Zcash.

WhiteBIT features a Launchpad where you can access new listings. WBT token holders can vote for their favorite projects to be listed on the platform, and crypto projects can apply to list their tokens via a dedicated webpage.

    Liquidity

WhiteBIT claims to have robust liquidity, enabling large trades with minimal slippage. Its wide range of supported fiat currencies also attracts diverse trading volumes. However, some assets have a zero trading volume, which may affect the exchange rate during large trades.

    Deposits & Withdrawals

WhiteBIT offers fast and direct fiat deposits and withdrawals for users worldwide, though the choice of currencies is limited in some regions.

🌍 Direct deposits are available for USD, EUR, and GBP.

EUR deposits are fast via SEPA, bank cards, Google Pay/Apple Pay, and digital wallets like Volet and ZEN.

💳 Other fiat currencies are mainly supported through bank cards and Volet.

⏱️ In my tests, USD deposits and withdrawals via bank card were quick, but a 3.5% fee was applied for non-EU cards.

    WhiteBIT Deposit Options

WhiteBIT enables direct fiat deposits via popular fiat payment solutions like bank transfer, wire transfer, bank cards, SEPA, Volet, and GooglePay/ApplePay. The USD, EUR, and GBP currencies are supported, covering the majority of regions worldwide. However, the platform does not support P2P, PayPal, or AdvCash. Major currencies like CNY, JPY, and AUD are also missing. This makes the platform less convenient for users in Japan, Australia, or China, as they must purchase crypto elsewhere.

Platforms like BitMart and Changelly offer a wider variety of fiat payment options via multiple gateways. KuCoin and Binance provide robust P2P markets, helping users find local buyers and sellers.

The fiat withdrawal process on WhiteBIT is just as simple as the deposit. The available payment methods and currencies are mostly the same, though withdrawals to a bank account are only possible via SEPA transfers. Minimum withdrawal amounts for most methods are around the equivalent of 10 USD.

Crypto withdrawals on WhiteBIT are subject to a small fee that varies by asset. During my tests, I attempted to withdraw USDT via the TON network to my wallet on another exchange, and the platform charged a fixed fee of 1 USDT.

WhiteBIT Daily Deposit and Withdrawal Limits

Daily deposit and withdrawal limits set by WhiteBIT for fiat currencies vary by asset and payment method. Verified users can typically withdraw the equivalent of 10,000 EUR/USD, though some methods may offer different limits. For example, withdrawals via Google Pay and Apple Pay have a daily limit of 2,000 EUR, while SEPA enables withdrawals of up to 14,500 EUR. Crypto deposits and withdrawals have no limit.

    Method Daily Withdrawal Limit
    Crypto (USDT)   Unlimited
    EUR SEPA €2,000-14,500
    EUR GooglePay/ApplePay €10-2,000
    USD Visa/MasterCard $10-10,000
    GBP Volet.com £10-10,000

    Customer Service

In my opinion, WhiteBIT stands out for having one of the most efficient support systems I’ve tested, including phone support. This is quite rare these days.

    WhiteBIT Customer Support Test

We created a unique trading test to measure customer service across various user needs. We personally contacted support through all available channels and presented hypothetical problems. We focused on response speed, the quality of assistance, and whether we could speak to a real person.

    Live Chat Support

While testing WhiteBIT, I asked about restricted regions via Live Chat since I couldn’t find this information. The agent responded instantly with a complete list, and the service was quick and efficient.

Customer service on WhiteBIT has proved to be some of the most efficient across all the platforms I’ve tested, as its agents were both fast and knowledgeable. Bitunix and DigiFinex offered similarly effective help, but larger platforms like KuCoin and HTX were less responsive.

    Phone Support

WhiteBIT lists three phone numbers on its website:

    • One for support in Ukrainian
    • One for support in English
    • One for international calls

First, I tried calling the international number, but the line was cut off after four rings, and I couldn’t get through. However, when I called the English support line, I was connected to an agent almost instantly.

The support was efficient: the agent provided detailed answers to all of my questions.

    Email Support

I also submitted a ticket asking about third-party insurance on customer assets and received a detailed response within an hour.
