Key Points:

  • DEXE has fallen 30% from its record high but is stabilizing near the key $32.80–$34.50 support zone.
  • Holding the 20-day EMA could trigger a rebound toward $38, followed by $47.72 if bullish momentum strengthens.
  • Around $3.73 million in short liquidations could accelerate gains, while a support breakdown risks a drop toward $26.35.

Dexe (DEXE), a DAO token with a focus on AI integration, has plunged 30% a week after establishing a record high at around $50.

As of Monday, July 20, the token was trading for as low $33.36, still up circa 1,900% when measured from its year-to-date low of around $1.72. Can this AI cryptocurreny rebound in the coming days? Let’s examine.

DEXE is Stabizing Near Key Bull-Run Support

DEXE is showing signs of stabilization near its 20-day exponential moving average (20-day EMA, green) around $32.83, a level that has repeatedly acted as support during its 2026 rally.

The token briefly fell to $33.36 before recovering toward $34.65, suggesting buyers are still defending the area. The 2.618 Fibonacci extension near $34.51 adds further support, creating a key zone between roughly $32.80 and $34.50.

Momentum has also cooled without turning bearish. DEXE’s daily relative strength index (RSI) has slipped to around 57 after previously entering overbought territory above 70. Holding above 50 suggests buyers still retain some control.

A decisive rebound could first push DEXE toward $38. A breakout above that level would bring the 4.236 Fibonacci extension near $47.72 into focus, representing an upside of about 38% from current prices. The record-high area near $50.84 would become the next target.

What If Support Fails?

The bullish setup depends on DEXE holding its 20-day EMA. A daily close below $32.83 could expose the token to a deeper correction toward $26.35–$26.45, where the 1.618 Fibonacci level and 50-day EMA (red) converge.

For now, defending $32.80–$34.50 keeps the broader uptrend intact.

DEXE Short Squeeze Could Accelerate Rebound

DEXE’s liquidation heatmap further supports the possibility of a near-term rebound, with approximately $3.73 million in short positions at risk of liquidation if the price moves higher, according to data resource CoinGlass.

The closest major liquidity cluster sits around $37.50–$38.50, roughly 9–12% above current levels. A move into this zone could force leveraged short sellers to close their positions by buying DEXE, adding momentum to the recovery.

The heatmap also shows another large concentration of short-liquidation liquidity near $44, which could become a secondary target if DEXE breaks decisively above $38.

This aligns with the technical outlook, where holding the $32.80–$34.50 support zone could open the path toward the 4.236 Fibonacci extension near $47.72.

However, liquidation heatmaps indicate where leveraged positions may be concentrated, not guaranteed price targets. DEXE must first defend its 20-day EMA and reclaim $38 to confirm that a broader short squeeze is underway.
