Sui (SUI), an emerging layer-1 blockchain crypto, could grow by up to 150% in the coming months, according to popular analyst Crypto Rand.
The optimism stems from a decisive breakout above a key descending trendline that had capped SUI’s price action since early 2025. The move was backed by a strong surge in volume and a successful retest of previous resistance zones near $2.90, which now appear to be acting as support.
Technically, the chart shows a clean formation of higher lows and higher highs — a textbook bullish structure. With no major resistance between the current range and the $5 mark, CryptoRand argues that SUI could be primed for a swift run-up toward $10.
For the unversed, the $5 level aligns with the token’s prior cycle top from late 2024, making it a psychologically and technically significant target. Beyond that, $10 is pegged as the next key zone, potentially driven by momentum and broader interest in layer-1 narratives.
For now, the question is whether SUI can maintain support above $3.30–$3.70. A successful consolidation here could lay the groundwork for the next leg higher.
Further fueling bullish sentiment, SUI has broken out of a textbook symmetrical triangle pattern on the 3-day chart, a setup that typically signals continuation in the direction of the prevailing trend.
The breakout occurred with strong bullish momentum above the triangle’s upper trendline, supported by the 50-day exponential moving average (EMA) near $3.27.
Technical projections based on the triangle’s height point to a breakout target near $6.90, suggesting another 75% upside from current levels.
The relative strength index (RSI) is trending above 58 and remains in neutral-to-bullish territory, giving the token ample room for further gains before hitting overbought conditions.
Notably, the RSI is also holding above its 14-day moving average, signaling sustained buying pressure.
Adding to the bullish momentum, Nasdaq-listed lender Mill City Ventures III, Ltd., announced a landmark $450 million private placement to acquire SUI tokens as its primary treasury reserve asset.
The deal, expected to close by Thursday, will allocate 98% of proceeds directly to SUI purchases, marking one of the largest institutional allocations to a blockchain-native token to date.
Backed by major players including Karatage, Galaxy Digital, and the Sui Foundation, the strategic move aims to offer institutional-grade exposure to the Sui ecosystem.

The offering is structured under SEC exemptions, with future plans to register share resales, and is paired with executive leadership changes to support Mill City’s pivot into blockchain-backed finance.
This development signals a major vote of confidence in Sui’s long-term potential, not just as a layer-1 infrastructure project but as a viable treasury-grade asset for publicly traded firms.
That may also pave the way for broader corporate adoption of crypto-native assets in traditional financial portfolios.
