South Korea Unemployment Rate

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in South Korea remained unchanged for the fourth consecutive month at 2.8% in June 2024. The number of unemployed individuals totaled 857,000, marking an increase of 50,000 or 6.2% from a year ago. Meanwhile, the number of employed individuals totaled 28.907 million, up by 96,000 or 0.3% from a year earlier. The labor force participation rate stood at 65.3% in June, remaining the same year-on-year.
