Natural Gas Fundamental Analysis September 12, 2013 Forecast

Analysis and Recommendations:

Natural Gas traded higher this morning but gave back gains to close end at 3.577 down by 7 points. Weather forecast across the US predicted a few more days of higher temperatures before fall weather sets in. Traders are sitting tight ahead of tomorrow’s EIA inventory. NYMEX Natural Gas prices decreased by 0.58 percent in yesterday’s trading session on the back of milder weather forecast for late this week and next week. However, sharp downside in the prices was cushioned on the back of weakness in DX. The U.S. Energy Information Administration on Tuesday slightly raised its estimate for 2013 domestic natural gas production, which up nearly 1 percent from 2012’s record high levels. In its September Short-Term Energy Outlook, the EIA said it expected marketed natural gas production in 2013 to rise by 0.73 billion cubic feet per day to 69.91 bcf per day, up fractionally from its August outlook of 69.89 bcf daily.

Traders can expect NYMEX Natural gas prices to trade on the negative note on the back of milder weather forecast coupled with expectation of rise in US natural gas Inventories from EIA. However, weakness in Dollar Index may cushion sharp fall in the prices
