Consumer prices in Argentina rose 1.9% month-on-month in July 2025, rebounding further from the lowest monthly inflation rate since May 2020 of 1.5% recorded in May and above market expectations for a 1.8% increase. Prices accelerated for food and non-alcoholic beverages (1.9% vs. 0.6% in June), transportation (2.8% vs. 1.6%), restaurants and hotels (2.8% vs. 2.1%), and communications (2.3% vs. 1.8%). Meanwhile, prices slowed for clothing and footwear (-0.9% vs. 0.5%), education (1.9% vs. 3.7%), housing and utilities (1.5% vs. 3.4%), and health (1.1% vs. 2.2%). On a year-on-year basis, consumer prices rose 36.6%, marking the disinflation trend and the smallest increase since March 2021, down from 39.4% in June and matching projections.
