Mexico’s unemployment rate fell to 2.5% in April 2025 from 2.6% a year earlier, in line with market expectations. The number of unemployed individuals increased by 42,835 to 1.560 million. However, the number of employed individuals also rose by 88,283 to 59.895 million. The economically active population increased by 45,448 to 61.456 million, while the non-economically active population increased by 1.925 million to 42.059 million. On a seasonally adjusted basis, the unemployment rate remained stable at 2.6% from the previous month in April.
