US utilities added 95 billion cubic feet of natural gas to storage from the previous week to 2.802 trillion cubic feet on the period ending June 13, broadly in line with market expectations of 96 bcf, extending the building season for natural gas ahead of the North American summer. Despite the increase, stocks remained 7.7% lower than the comparable period from the previous year, but 6.1% above the five-year average.
