Germany equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Consumer & Cyclical sectors propelled shares higher. At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 1.61%, while the MDAX index climbed 1.31%, and the TecDAX index added 1.85%. US markets also ended on positive note ahead of Thanksgiving holidays spurring a positive mood in equity markets. Liquidity is expected to be low for rest of week owing to holiday is US markets which combined with positive risk appetite resulted in major markets across Asia seeing positive price action expect for china which saw mixed outcome with shanghai composite index trading in red while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index trades in red.
Today’s macro calendar doesn’t have any major releases in European markets aside from ECB minutes from which investors expect to see forward guidance information for rate hikes in 2019 and QE easing scheduled to end in December. As no other major market impact news is expected to release during European market hours, investors are expected to take on positive cues from Asian market. DAX futures trading in international market is up by 0.31% ahead of German market hours indicating positive opening in Equity market for the day. Unless there is any major headlines that inspires a bearish sentiment among investors, German equity market and DAX index should see positive price action prevalent across today’s market hours.
