Colombia’s unemployment rate fell to 8.8% in July 2025, down 1.1 percentage points from 9.9% a year earlier, representing 230,000 fewer unemployed people. Women’s unemployment was 11.1%, while men’s stood at 7.1%. Youth unemployment also declined, reaching 15.0% for the May–July moving quarter. The overall labor force participation rate was 64.6%, and the employment rate rose 1.1 percentage points to 58.9% from 57.8% in July 2024.
