Colombia Unemployment Rate

Colombia’s unemployment rate fell to 8.6% in June 2025 from 10.3% a year earlier, as the employed population increased by 831,000 to 23.75 million, standing below market expectations of a 9.2% jobless rate. Sectors that contributed most to the rise in employment included manufacturing (+1.4 pp), public administration, education, and healthcare (+1.1 pp), and utilities (+0.6 pp). The labor force participation rate edged down slightly to 66.4% from 67.0% in June 2024, while the employment rate rose to 60.9% from 60.1%.
