The annual inflation rate in Cyprus dropped sharply to 0.2% in April 2025, the lowest level in four years, down from 1.6% in March. The main downward pressure came from a significant price drop in transport (-3.6% vs 1.2% in March), and housing and utilities (-1.4% vs 4.2%). Conversely, price increases accelerated in food and non-alcoholic beverages (2.6% vs 2.1%), while the decline in clothing and footwear prices slowed (-7.1% vs -7.8%).
