Latest Updates
Annual industrial producer price inflation in the Euro Area slowed to 0.7% in April 2025, down from 1.9% in March and below market expectations of 1.2%. The deceleration was largely driven by a shift in energy prices, which declined by 0.3% after rising 4.0% the previous month. Price growth also eased for intermediate goods (0.4% vs. 0.8%) and capital goods (1.6% vs. 1.8%). In contrast, inflation accelerated for non-durable consumer goods, rising to 1.8% from 1.6%, while durable consumer goods inflation remained unchanged at 0.9%. On a monthly basis, producer prices dropped by 2.2%, the steepest decline since April 2023.
