Main upward pressure came from prices of insurance and financial services (13.3% vs 13.3% in November); restaurants & hotels (11.5% vs 11.1%); alcoholic beverages & tobacco (8.9% vs 8.8%); health (7.7% vs 7.8%); education (6.7% vs 6.7%) and furnishings & household equipment (5.1% vs 4%).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices were flat, after increasing by 0.3% in the prior month.
