Chile’s unemployment rate stood at 8.4% in the September–November 2025 quarter, up 0.2 pp year-on-year, as labor force growth (1.5%) exceeded employment growth (1.2%). The number of unemployed rose 4.0%, driven by layoffs and first-time job seekers. Male unemployment increased to 8.1% (+0.6 pp), while female unemployment eased to 8.8% (-0.3 pp). On a seasonally adjusted basis, unemployment rose 0.2 pp to 8.6%.
