The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Ireland remained steady at 4.7% in September 2025, unchanged from August. The total number of unemployed fell by 400 month-on-month to 138,200. By gender, male unemployment edged down to 4.8% from 4.9%, while the female rate held at 4.5%. Among age groups, the unemployment rate for those aged 15-24 rose slightly to 12.2% from a revised 12.1% in August, whereas the rate for the 25-74 cohort remained unchanged at 3.6%.
