The star of the previous was the British pound as it hit its highest rate since Brexit and the best week in almost nine years. The catalyst for the Pound strength was Hawkish comments from BoE members.
In the week ahead, investors will closely watch:
- BoE governor speech on Monday at 8:00 GMT, Eurozone Inflation on Monday at 10:00 GMT.
- Eurozone Inflation on Monday at 10:00 GMT.
- RBA Meeting Minutes on Tuesday at 4:30 GMT.
- UK August Retail Sales on Wednesday at 9:30 GMT.
- FOMC Rate Decision and press conference on Wednesday at 17:00 GMT.
- BoJ Rate Decision on Thursday at 4:00 GMT.
