Latest Updates
The HOX Sweden housing-price index fell 2.8 percent from a month earlier to 269.26 in September of 2022, extending losses for the sixth straight month as higher interest rates and slowing growth dented demand for homes. Prices of detached houses fell 3.3 percent and apartment prices went down 1.9 percent. Since hitting a record high in March, home costs are down 11.2%, the most since the global financial crisis. Also, preliminary figures point to a further decline in apartment prices in both Stockholm (-1.6 percent) and Gothenburg (-1.7 percent) during the first half of October compared to September.
