Taiwan Unemployment Rate

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in Taiwan edged higher to 3.36% in March 2025 from 3.35% in the previous month. The number of unemployed persons increased by 2 thousand from a month earlier to 405 thousand, while employment slightly rose by 1 thousand to 11.619 million. In the meantime, the youth unemployment rate, measuring job seekers between 20 to 24 years old, ticked higher to 11.35%, the highest in six months, from 11.33% in February. The labor force participation rate edged down to 59.34% from 59.36% in the preceding period.
