Corporate profits in the United States increased 0.8 percent to USD 2.54 trillion in the third quarter of 2022, following a 6.2 percent gain in the previous period and compared with preliminary estimates of a 0.2 percent drop. Net cash flow with inventory valuation adjustment, the internal funds available to corporations for investment, rose 6.2 percent to USD 3.14 trillion, while net dividends fell 3.2 percent to USD 1.68 trillion. Meanwhile, undistributed profits climbed 9.8 percent to USD 0.86 trillion.
