Ethereum Price Forecast & Predictions
Analyst Outlook
Ethereum (ETH) has booked a 9% jump in the past 7 days, and even though that doesn’t sound like much, the token has broken key levels that are confirming the beginning of a bull market.
In the past few weeks, we have been keeping an eye on a bull flag pattern that, if broken, that would set the stage for the continuation of the late-August rally toward the $2,800 target first and then to $3,250 – $3,400.
The Relative Strength Index (RSI) just surged above the signal line in the daily chart, which indicates that positive momentum is accelerating. We expect some resistance at $3,000, but the stage looks set for the continuation of this recent rally to much higher levels in the near term.
Will Ethereum (ETH) go up or down this year?Last week’s interest rate hike and subsequent comments from the new head of the Fed, Kevin Warsh, have given the market a baseline scenario to work with. Another rate hike is expected this year, while a failed vote on the Clarity Act has closed the door on Congress moving to support the crypto space.
However, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) remains committed to supporting the sector’s growth, and that’s a big deal. The most relevant signal this week is coming from on-chain data, as Ethereum’s MVRV Ratio just rose above the zero line. This metric tracks the relationship between ETH’s market value and the aggregated value of all tokens in circulation at the price at which they were bought.
The last three times this metric rose above zero, it marked the beginning of strong rallies toward the $4,000 area. The stars seem to be lining up for the beginning of a fresh bullish cycle for altcoins.
What would change your view?
We could still expect significant turmoil ahead as a result of a still volatile macro backdrop. President Trump is known for derailing even the strongest rallies in the crypto market with unexpected decisions like an escalation in the war with Iran or new tariff hikes.
A pullback after hitting $2,800 is possible and could plummet ETH to $2,400. However, if that area holds, the token’s outlook would continue to be positive.
