At present an omnibus survey consists of a sample of about 1,500 persons, drawn from a population of persons aged 16-74 years residing in Denmark.
Latest Updates
Denmark’s consumer confidence index declined to -20.1 in November 2025 from -19.5 in the previous month, marking its weakest reading since March 2023. The decline reflected worsening sentiment about the country’s economic situation over the past 12 months (-34.4 vs -32.9 in October), as did their expectations for the next 12 months (-27.2 vs -25). Households also reported a deterioration in their personal financial situation (-15.1 vs -14.3). Meanwhile, consumers' expectations regarding the climate for major purchases at present remain unchanged at -19.5, while expectations for the coming year became slightly less pessimistic (-9.1 vs -9.6). Among components not included in the overall confidence indicator, concerns about unemployment over the next 12 months continued to rise (18.6 vs 15.4), while the expectations for price developments in the coming year also increased (30.8 vs 29.6).
